Minecraft Name: Dumdum71 Suggestion: Add a new command called /previousnames <playername>or /pn <playername> for short. When you use this command, it will give a list off all the usernames the player has used on ecc. Reason: There is a lot of name changes already and there will be several more. Currently, the fastest way to see who someone is after they've changed their name is to go to their profile and look at their previous names. People will not want to do this for every player that changes their name (look how many have already had their's changed) We all know that name changes are going to be a little bit of a headache and if we are able to get a system working where you can see a player's past usernames via a command, it would definitely help reduce a bit of these headaches. It would also fight against players with bad reputations to change their names because there will less of an incentive for scammer and such to have their identity changed. Any Other Information: I don't know exactly how this would be done but I think that it would make sense for /pn to somehow be connected to the previous names tab on your profile or somehow after each app, somehow the staff member who handles it could add it to the player's /pn list. Obviously, I don't know to much of what I'm talking about but hopefully this will give an idea of how the command could possibly work. Link To This Plugin: I believe this would have to be custom coded but I do believe that it would be worth the time as I don't see this being to hard to implement.
It wouldn't be that hard to make, it could log every username the UDID or whatever logs in with then display a list. +1
Is there any place that says that /seen will tell this information now? I'm pretty active on forums and I haven't heard anything about /seen doing this until now. Maybe it would be best if people could learn this easier.
First, any suggestion that helps with transparency has my vote - nice job dumdum N6, thank you for sharing this command with us - like op I had no idea this was available to us.
I have tried it and it worked on two out of three users - so this is not a perfect solution imho. I would recommend still going to the history link to really know for sure who you are dealing with.
Well, that might explain why, although I still will be checking with the history link before conducting any large transaction with a player
Oh, was about to file a bug report because I wondered why only some people were affected by /seen. You can even /seen a former username and it will bring the current + the history.
As a developer, essentials has this down better than any custom plug-ins. Not really needed to code new ones
I wasn't really going for something new, mainly just a convenient way to check. I had not checked /seen for a few days so I did not know this. The only reason I still have this open is because I was asking where this information is posted. I feel like others would like to see this info posted somewhere.
