Item/Rank/Feature: Pumpkins. Data Value: 95. Current Price: $0.40. Suggested Price: $0.43 - $0.45 . Brief Description: Farming with a pumpkin axe or etc. Open Discussion: Raising the pumpkin prices will have many benefits to the economy. One example is, if users see pumpkin prices are at a good level, then they will farm them. If the users want to farm them, they will need a farm to use. Once they need a farm to use, they will ask for perms to a farm or build one. Both options are not cheap. Along with the cost of the farm, the users will need a pumpkin axe to farm quick. Long story short, the economy will improve.
I not am sure exactly what I make per hour since I put them in a chest, but I have noticed one inventory full only makes $800. It used to make 1k per inventory full. @kukelekuuk00
If you don't know how much you actually make per hour, how can you suggest the prices being raised? Your only argument here is simply saying "an inventory full doesn't make enough money" but you don't know how long it takes to fill an inventory. So why should the price be raised?
I used to collect 20,000 pumpkins and sell them. That made me 10k and if I did that now, I would only make 8k.
again, you don't know how long it takes you to get 20k pumpkins, so you don't know how much money you actually made in a set amount of time. You don't have a per hour number, yet you want the price raised.
you should be able to get 25k-28.8k pumpkins in a single hour. (as you farm at 7-8 pumpkins a second, or at least, that's what I got last I tested) This should equal to about 10-11.5k at the current price, the 25% increase you suggested would put it at 14.4k an hour. Which I believe is too much for farming to make. Especially considering every single crop was nerfed by at least 10%
If anything, the price of Melons should go up. The value of a Melon Sword is decreasing, and players are becoming less and less interested in the expensive tool.
Last night, I did a 1 hour test on melons. On speed .585, I made 12.7k. Pumpkins should never be able to make more than melons, which is what this suggestion is suggesting. So, -1.
I agree melons should go up too, it's just I don't melon farm so I wouldn't know. Couldn't we have both raised? (And have melons make more of course)
As far as I know if melons and pumpkins went up, then mining, fishing and all other ways of making money would have to go up in order to balance the economy. It would just be a bunch of unneeded work for the always busy staff team. Sorry but -1.
The melon sword is a 500k+ tool, and melon sword users should ALWAYS be able to make a more substantial amount than those who user other tools. (Eff7's and Eff10's excluded). I'm changing my mind now. I don't think this is currently true for pumpkins. I've recently started to rent out melon swords, and make anywhere from $10,000-$14,000 an hour. About a month ago, I would make around 6k pumpkin farming, with speed. The problem is, that if we boost pumpkins enough, some users will be able to make more than a melon sword. :/
I understand. Like I said, couldn't we raise both? The only thing would be is that melons would have more of an increase of their price than pumpkins would. I also do agree with what you're saying.
