Suggestion: Add more reward in PvP World, make it more of a world maybe.
Reason:
Before I start I don't refer to SG as PvP I realise SG contains PvP.
So at the moment PvP is dead, and the main reason I believe it is, is its just to much of a risk compared to SG.
Preparation
In a game of SG you give up nothing but your time, have a chance to win a good bit and kits are actually really cheap. I say this because in PvP 600-100o swords is equivalent to buffer in SG so instead of paying $30 for buffer or even up to $90 im now paying $120-$195. And with that in mind you can probably profit from SG with just buffer, but in PvP you'd most likely need 1000 acrobatics as well which brings in another $120-$195. You could train these but its just more work you need to put in before you actually get anything out of it and in the time i'm training, I could just go farm and buy SG kits etc. And we can't forget we need gear for PvP, more money I need to throw in.
Risk:Reward
Now if we ignore all this preparation and imagine we all go into our event equal if I "win" PvP I've killed someone and doubled my cash in gear at least, this seems like a very good trade-off double or nothing its exactly why i started PvP. But now if we look at SG it cost me nothing to get into a game and I win 2k for example this is a very very good risk:reward ratio here no matter what because i don't risk anything.
Time
Another comparison here is going to be time, you could go all day and never get a thing in PvP people log, people from your clan aren't on and your heavily outnumbered, someone better then you is camping the arena. Now I understand you can get teamed up on in SG and they may beat you in quite a few SG's you play but they only bring down your profit a little, you still make money throughout the day and its a pretty good flow. If played 1 game of SG I would've made more profit in less time then someone who went to PvP all day. And people might say well he wasn't fighting in PvP all day he was just sitting there, and from many days doing that i can tell you it's a lot of work. You need to communicate with your clan always be watching pvp for the moment when the guy you want to kill turns around for a split second. It requires complete attention and you could earn nothing.
Skill
So I'm gonna start this off in saying personally I think PvP requires more skill, you can have your own opinion but don't turn this thread into a large argument about it. Now here are my reasons why. Both of these activities are in the simplest terms point and click. At first in SG what it had going for you was map knowledge which is a skill, along with a little bit of luck for whats in the chest. Then came along kits and to many times now i see people start the game and end the game with the same equipment they just run around killing. For the most part as well they just 1 shot you which honestly requires 0 skill. This is why ill say no-kits take more skill then kits, which i think even kit users could agree on. Now the reason i say PvP takes more skill is that there are many more aspects to it, you still need arena knowledge, fighting has more to it in health potions and armor durability and you need to be able to recognize the situation you are in at all times and have an idea of its risk:reward. So many times I've heard someone say there was the really nooby guy in prot 4 in the arena for the first time after months of spawn camping they go into to kill him and get 3v1. I could go on about PvP but in the end Minecraft doesn't require an extensive amount of any skill. And I'm sure some things I've mentioned for PvP might apply to SG and im just oblivious to them but in the end I still do believe PvP is more difficult.
Actual Suggestion
So onto my reason behind the actual suggestion which is that by adding more reward to PvP world we can bring it up to SG standards at least. One thing is make PvP world an actual World such as the old mining world and maybe even let mobs spawn there naturally or increase ore generation there. Of course we could keep the arenas but give them a warp instead. Also doing things like mineruns more often will in turn make pvp more popular because people will want to survive or kill others, by forcing them into a pvp environment with good risk:reward. With that more events such as just recently andrew did an $100 sg. There are lots of things we could do so feel free to comment with your ideas.
Conclusion
This thread is a lot less about what we exactly should do and more about something needs to be done. I'm not saying make SG worse I'm proposing make PvP better. With a little bit of attention it can start to bring in a whole new audience to new players if done properly.
Any Other Information: If you play SG and you comment "This is not needed" I ask you don't partake in discussion on this thread, so many times I see people who I have never seen PvP comment and you don't know how big the community actually is and a lot of the SG players now that I see winning are old PvP players. As well the old "Ecc is not a PvP server" its not an SG server either its not EcoFarmCraft but we make changes to them all the time. All these things are a part of the economy and make ECC that much more diverse and better in my opinion.

I think we should just add the old arena back in. Way to many time have I gone into pvp arena 1 and right as I get there people run out, and the other 3 arenas aren't being used at all by the players. When old arena was there prot4 was going for a good 20k and there would be atlease one player at the pvp at all times, now you are lucky to find one person worth killing in the new arenas

Agreed 100% Maybe we can get XP. Not the mcmmo kind but maybe khobbits can make a plugin where if we kill a person we get ECCXP (Or ECC-XP)
and you get different amounts of XP with the amount of gear they had when you killed them. And this XP can cash out for ECD, donations, or mcmmo. -

Your basically asking for fractions or a pvp mining world which I'm ok with. I don't agree with some of your statistics in your suggestion but I like the main idea. Also having only one arena is another good way to help pvp so players aren't so spread out.
