    So far I think the first step to doing this is get rid of all these new arenas which were definitely not picked for functionality no offence to any of the builders they just don't work as well as needed they are all still good builds. Anyway go back to the old arenas maybe instead of bringing back old arena 2 we keep new arena 1. In the end pvpers only need 2 arenas, 1 for 1v1s which the new arena 1 is good at, and old arena 1 for the casual fights.

    By doing this we bring some attention to PvP and make the arenas a lot more functional. Note this is only in my opinion a first step and in no way a solution.

    I like the idea of exp being involved not exactly how you described it but i think with enchanting the way it is now involving PvP with a good way to get exp would force people to be involved in every bit of the server to be the most efficient at the economy aspect. This is why one of my thoughts would be to make PvP world not only have arenas but also like the old mining world with PvP and allow natural mob spawns. A large reason why this also helps PvP is you get mcmmo exp on naturally spawned mobs along with regular exp and some drops that could not otherwise be gotten easily.

    I realize doing something like this puts a lot of importance on PvP related activities on the economy so maybe it would need to be edited but in my opinion i think it would be ok.

    Just briefly talking about exp on kill idea it's very easily farmed unless you implemented a 1 kill on the same person a day. I believe this could be done easily but the exp on kill i don't think would be easy to do in the first place. Instead of this i think if you used the 1 kill on the same person a day and made a leader board for PvP stats monthly for example in which the top 10 got ecodollar reward or exp reward it would work even better. First of all you get your added reward and second it gets the community involved such as the sg leaderboard.

    Throwing an idea out here, but what if we could get a plugin that would only allow the killer to loot the kills? I've seen it in other servers where if you kill someone, only you can loot it for about 15 seconds, after that its ffa. That's probably not gonna happen though, but onto the exp thing. There are alot of nubs who just run into the arena and die over and over, and you dont really have to try to kill them. Would you still "exp" or whatever from those guys?

    Also, i do agree with riku on the pvp arenas, they are not pvp material. They need to be flatter, less terrain, and just less overall obstacles.

    Thats why i suggested if it were to happen only get reward from a single person once a day or to even not get reward per kill and rather tally the kills on the different people and create a leader board monthly with prizes

    I got into PvP sadly quite late, I still got some of the golden age of PvP but I still wish I was partaking when the Mining World was packed with people. I have a suggestion, let's make a mining world, which is basically a normal generated world, no increase in ores, and then a world that is equivalent to the current mining world, but it is PvP. Therefore all the people that complain "oh, builders will just either A, grief the main world or B, walk into the PvP world die, then leave the server. Having 2 separate worlds would fix both worlds, plus, there's a spot where we can put this new world at the spawn portals titled "Future Plans".

    TL;DR : Make 2 worlds, one is a generated world with normal ores no pvp, and make a world that is equivalent to the current mining world (more ores) but make it PvP. (This would be 100x better then "mini games")

    Mining world was actually never extremely popular, it definitely had high points but that's just cause people who pvped went where other people were and everyone would just go back to the arenas. This was all because of the fact you could tp out, so if we were to do another world it would need a tp delay. As well just adding another world with nothing different then reg mining world is not going to bring people to pvp. All you've changed is the setting and added people able to tp out, the setting of the old arena 1 would already be picked over normal terrain. So if you were to make a world like this with the arenas it would need some incentive to actually go there.

    If you read through my whole post getting 1 kill a day on someone cant be boosted extremely. Yes it can but so can sg kills and sg wins.

    Sg wins can be boosted but it's illegal. This is much easier to boost. Yes I read your post, hire 20-30 builders per day, pay them 1k to kill them with no armor, repeat daily. That is very, very simple.

    Okay so here's my thoughts on this whole idea.

    I completely agree with riku that something needs to be done with the whole pvp situation. I am almost depressed to see that prot4 armor, sharp5 swords/axes, and maxed bows are worth nothing compared to what they used to. The main cause of this is that is because with these new arenas pvp is dead due to the fact that their just not pvpable therefore nobody has any use for prot4 and weapons. In my opinion, we need to add back the two previous arenas because when those where there pvp was alive and actually FUN. I think that people will say that this isn't a pvp server but pvp is a really good way to make money which is what the server is about. Also lets face it, sg requires some skill but mainly kits; pvp on the other hand requires a great deal of skill because you actually have to risk your own things to make money where in sg you lose absolutely nothing if you die. ​

    Now to the whole pvp/mining world discussion kind of thing. I think its a good idea but I dont exactly agree on everything thats being discussed on it. I think its a great idea that you could have a pvp zone where you could build/destroy things and mine ores, but if mob generation is higher then dont you think that the price of exp would be higher. And i also think yet another mining would would cause alot of lag to the server unless its much smaller which would work great.

    Overall definitely +1 on this suggestion I really hope this gets somewhere because i miss the old pvp. :(

    Just so people don't get stuck on one idea there are lots of others things that could be done such as PvP events such as mineruns every Saturday or a random PvP event every Sunday which will definitely add more reward to PvP and make people need equipment etc if they wish to participate. As well this brings a lot of attention to pvp in general.
