Item/Rank/Feature: redstone not ore version Data Value: idk Current Price: 1.75 Suggested Price: 1.85 to 1.9 Brief Description: just so we can make a little mining money Open Discussion: was it nerfed since eff7 came out?
Yes, it was nerfed since eff7's came out. Do you know what hourly rate you make? With the current price of redstone I can make around 17-19k an hour, and Andrew tries to keep the best hourly rates around that.
I don't, I could conduct some testing today if you'd like, though I don't really understand why it is needed unless you are trying to break down specific income from each mining ore.
There is no need to discuss bans of any sort here. Please keep all comments directed towards the thread's original purpose.
Okay, so I'm going to make an assumption that you return home to mine it all with a fortune 3 pick, so here comes my attempt at math. Redstone ore, when mined with a fortune 3 pick, gives 7-8 pieces of dust. Multiply both numbers by 1000, you get an average of 7500, which sold to the server, is a little over 13k. So, @_TANSTAAFL, does this look about right to what you make? And yes, @nicit6. I'm seeing how much you'd get on an average.
That is not nice to call other users that. I handled the situation and he had stopped, there was no need for this message. Again, I request everybody to keep the replies on topic of the suggestion.
I'd say that if I was able to run at the same efficiency as Tans (i.e. not stopping for ereps, mining on end) I could do in the 850-1000 ore range per hour. So if you say that's 13k per hour, you gotta remember there's still lapis, iron, gold, diamonds, emeralds and exp making profit as well.
Oh, okay, so you were saying that the redstone INCLUDED with the hour, it gets 17-19k.. So you make another 4-6k on gold, iron, coal, lapis, diamonds..?
Well at the efficiency I'm able to mine at I'd say it's closer to 9-10k in redstone and another 7-8k in gold, iron, lapis, diamonds, exp, etc. Donation features and star tools, totally worth it. **Note: My figures include selling a variety of items to market shops, this means I'm making more than just the /worth of what I mine. I sell whatever I can find a market for when I have the goods.
This stil goes to show that raising would seriously raise the amount that players make. Say it was only increased by $0.05. No big deal, right? If the price per dust was $1.80, if TANS still got roughly 1k redstone ores, he would make 13.5k. That could be a lot in the long run.
