I agree with this post too. Too many people can't earn their ratings like the aforementioned user. I like to see people have good quality posts that actually deserve ratings.

 

I agree with this. I take pride in my Ratings, regardless of whether they mean anything or not, and players essentially paying other people to give them ratings doesn't feel right.

As for a rule being implemented on this, I'm doubtful that it'll actually happen, but I definitely do not feel that this kind of behavior should be encouraged.

I agree that this shouldn't be legal. Further, I feel the reaction should be a deletion of the thread, which, btw does delete all the ratings involved.

Well if he pulled 40+ votes it's possible that he hit a trophy mark. If this gets passed watch his ratings when the thread is removed.

 

I agree with this, if someone is writing meaningful and useful posts then their ratings will reflect that, and I don't know about you guys but I base a lot of my trust in a player ingame on how they are rated on the forums etc. I don't want to be mislead by ratings if the player is not actually contributing to the server via the forums. For me it feels like paying someone to leave a good review of something, which in real life is illegal, and illegal for good reason.

Earn the ratings in a legit way guys!

Haha don't be! If you spend time holding on to the negative you'll have no hands free for the positive. People will always do stuff like this, in real life and in games. But as you can see on this thread we all see right through it and recognise the people who really deserve the ratings. :cool:
