Minecraft Name: @Gmoneyman118 Suggestion: Re-Implement Breeding Reason: So that people can make farms/ranches for animals without having to a bunch of eggs, enjoy the animal breeding process ie: breeding the best horse through loads of mating, eating cake with accessible milk from multiple cows, and jump starting small time farmers who may need to gain money through small scale ranches to get their way up in ECC society. Any Other Information: The reason this was disabled was due to lag but animals already will despawn to reduce this and the server, after recent updates with cooking pots, is now less laggy. Link To This Plugin: N/A as this is a vanilla feature.
Animal breeding would be a good idea in my opinion. It can't break the economy and would be a nice feature
How so? The whole server won't have 200 animals. The server has also decreased the lag through the removal of other laggy items and I'm sure a vanilla feature won't break the game. They could also do a trial run to see the effects of the lag then turn it off or on.
Although i voted yes, i can taste the lag too. What i think must happen is a limit to a certain number of animals for an area.
You clearly have never experienced mobs on a server, or mobs in general. I could make a farm of 200 cows in about an hour and the lag they can cause if they are all in 1 area is crazy. You can't say that mobs won't lag the server, because if a lot of people are making farms all over the place, the server will lag imensly.
I actually believe the contrary. Re-enabling animal breeding could negatively impact the market for animal spawn eggs. Currently, I am only aware of two sources of animal eggs, voting and the netherstar shop. This being the case, allowing breeding would cause a steep decline in the value of the eggs, as people would be able to essentially obtain free mobs. While I understand that there are many people who would enjoy creating animal farms, I do not think that this suggestion should be implemented.
