Hmm… interesting. We have been on a bit of a renaming streak lately, why not rename the aether to be more accurate? I see no downsides. +1.

 

Downsides-
Advertising- "aether" is more appealing and well known, thus bring more people than sky lands

-more confusion- sky lands can be easily interpreted as sky blocks, since for many servers sky lands and sky blocks are interchangeable

 

Although "Aether" will get more people to join, many will leave due to it not actually being Aether (it also upsets people when they find out). In the end, I think there would be no difference in the amount of users we get.

 

Along with this, how about Mining World changes to Resource World? Mining World isn't just for mining.

 

Not only is this not needed, but it makes sense to keep it Mining World. Why? We might as well call Aether Building World or Chicken World. The Mining World focuses mainly on ores by increasing the rate of them in a chunk. (I may be extremely outdated with that one). But all in all, no change is needed :)

 

I agree that it is wrong to call that world Aether if it is by definition actually skylands. And if you don't mind, while you are renaming, could you change the build worlds?? These are the last places on the server you should be "building".

 

Sky Lands is better...and while it will possibly cause confusion by people thinking it Sky Block, the confusion rate will be much much lower then people thinking of the actual Aether mod.

Yep, that is why I +1 this, I nearly raged in chat when I stepped on the rocket and saw that it is just normal terrain but in the sky, only good thing was Super Videowiz 64 Castle :p
