Ah, this suggestion again.

There was a huge long discussion about it in a previous suggestion, there are multiple reasons against this.

It basically labels them a scammer, you might was well give them a [Scammer] tag, it means the same thing. These players will be hated by everyone, will be unable to buy/sell anything from anyone, and ect ect. Not a good idea.

 

I agree with Jason, this could result in player discrimination and harassment. It would be a good warning system for buyers however would have major user issues.

There are many many things we need to be protected from, true or not.

because screw them they are scammers

 

if the scammers get harassed then let them file a complaint

they don't deserve protection from anything, if anything good citizens deserve protection from them, labeling them as such would do that

 

That is true however they would forever have the label of a scammer even once the tag would be gone.

Also, I'm not on the side of scammers but they are all human beings that can be hurt as we all can. sure maybe if they ended up quitting the server because of being labeled it would benefit the economy, but that's someone who has been harassed to a point were they have to leave to get away from it all.

Once again I agree, people should know who are scammers but they shouldn't be harassed because of it.

 

But some people will target the scammers with harassment. I'm not pointing any fingers but it would happen... this is the internet :/

We have already go over this. If you wish for me to pull out some records I can, you have harassed scammers before, don't deny it :p

This is just more examples of scammer hate, which is not a good thing.

Statement of fact and insulting is a thin line.

I can say your shirt is red, but that isn't insulting. I can say your shirt is ugly, and that's not fact, that's opinion.
I can say you scammed, and that's a fact. I can also say your an evil horrible person who scams, how can you live with yourself, and that's opinion, "evil" and "horrible" aren't measurable. That's just insulting and harassment.
