Minecraft Name:
Rachel8484
Suggestion:
To have users who scam wait 5 days before being allowed to appeal.
Reason:
I feel this will discourage some users from scamming, since they will be very well aware of they cannot appeal until the 30 days since they were banned passes. After the 5 days are up, they many file a ban appeal.
Other Information:
If this helps the scamming issue, hopefully more users will not quit as often, nor have as many users banned.

This would push so many people away from the server. Just think, the users who were scammed, can't get their money back for 30 days, making them quit. Also, users who scam rarely, rarely appeal. This really would only hurt the scamming issue if anything.

Rachel8484 ResidentResident ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️I do understand your opinion, I am trying to find a solution to scamming.
-
knears2000 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️There truly isn't one to be quite honest. You can't take the money from the felon's balance because chances are, it's somewhere else. And there isn't a true way to prevent it but by hoping for the best. So in essence, unless a third party is involved that only serves one purpose, and to make the deal secure, this will not happen.

Rachel8484 ResidentResident ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️I completely understand, now that I think of it more, the idea isn't such a great idea.
-
Vintage_Gamer BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️ Premium UpgradeI think the suggestion isnt about reducing it, but enforcing the consequences more. Although the staff deal with scammers greatly so i dont see a problem with that.

I like the idea, but 1 month seems like too long, user would just quit. Maybe a week?
-
Rachel8484 ResidentResident ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Yeah, I guess.
-
knears2000 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️24 hours at best. This would satisfy both parties. Defer someone from scamming, and if scammed, will not take long.
-
greg45865734 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Good point, and what if someone doesnt have the intention of scamming like in a unpaid loan.
-
I don't believe that this is a good idea to be honest. User's already receive time away from the server as a punishment as a condition of their appeal should they appeal. Any additional time is unnecessary and only reduces the likelihood of scammed users ever getting their money/items returned.

I don't think 30 days is necessary. Perhaps just 3 days would be sufficient enough.

Changed to 24 hours, rather than 30 days.
-
knears2000 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️I'm gonna give you a situation in which I scammed $300k from you.
I take out a $300k loan from you, in which I intend to play in lotto. You don't get the money back. I get banned and cannot appeal for another 30 days. When I appeal in 30 days, chances are, you quit because you have no idea if I have any interest in joining the server ever again.
It doesn't benefit anyone, at all.-

Rachel8484 ResidentResident ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Main reason I changed it to 24 hours, if I were to change it again it would be 48 hours, though I do prefer 24 hours. I would just prefer for scamming punishments to be more server, so it discourages users from scamming.

knears2000 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️48 hours wouldn't be bad. It's the 30 days that was an issue.
