Minecraft Name:lapkingkn Suggestion:Scamming, many people get scammed every single day and its hard to believe i want that to stop. Many people sceenshot and do contracts on the forums but it does not help, it only bans the player who did the scam. I think there should be a way to get that money back if there is evidence and proof and contracts on the forums. Reason:Many people work hard for their money its really sad to see that people lose their money by loaning it out and buying donation features. There should be a way to get your money back after you get scammed. Any Other Information: I've been scammed so much money somewhere around $1M, I loan my money out and i never get it back i have reported this on the ecc complaints but it never helps, player gets banned end of story. The issue is when people get banned the money in their bal is taken out of the economy and the economy could not handle all that money staying.
Do i think players should get their money back? Yes. Do I think there is a reasonable way to do that that is not already being done? No
-1 This would add mass amounts of money to the economy. What happens when the user who scammed appeals? They keep the money? Or they get the money removed from their balance? If they get the money taken from their balance, then what if that user doesn't have the money in their balance? In most cases, they won't have the money. Getting your money back from scams is just a bad move. Honestly if you don't want to get scammed then don't give out loans. There are so many other ways to make money out there, and that is why I have not given out a single loan to this day.
It's the users responsibility to do a background check on the user they are dealing with. I've suggested this in the past as well in it was shot down quite quickly. -1
getting scammed is the american way.. and this server is based in north america. so scamming is a way of life. -1 on a serious note. if your hand never got burned for touching the stove, you would never learn to not touch it. scammers get banned. victims loose their money. everyone learns for the next time.
The sad truth, as I have said in many of these threads before, is that scamming is good for the economy.

-1 It would add a load of money to the economy. 90% of the time, scammers lotto all the money away and ends up in another lucky player's bal. Of you were to get it back, it would the amount of money that you were scammed would not only come back into your bal, but also someone else's causing major inflation. I'm going to quote a post from KHobbits from a while back. Spoiler Ecocitycraft already has a inflation problem, the 'ECC powers-that-be' are aware of this and consider it a constant battle. The /sell command on ECC 'prints' money, that money doesn't come from a pre-made pot or from a bank, the money produced from /sell is simply spawned. The same is true from donation money. To balance this income out, we need to despawn (delete) money. For this we have server applications such as the rank and town applications. This is an ongoing war. Whenever the total balance of the server (the money in all the players balances, signs and buildings) exceeds a certain amount, we need to rebalance the economy doing one of the following: - Lower the amount of spawned money from /sell (lower farming prices) - Increase app costs - Sell more market slots - Add a new type of app to drain money - Extract money from ECC using taxes One final little secret, if it wasn't for players giving up ECC or getting banned, we would have already lost the inflation battle. At the moment, we stop counting money after a player is banned or leaves ECC for a certain time, because that money is no longer part of the active economy. There are millions of lost Ecodollars in peoples accounts who no longer play, or left stored in forgotten town chests. Also, this would completely remove the risk of doing loans. Loans are supposed to be risky. They are in real life also, however, the consequences are a bit more severe then a ban from a minecraft server.
Although this may seem more 'just' than not getting the money back, there are simply far too many issues with doing so.
