Minecraft Name: nicit6 Suggestion: Add a 'Merit' forum medal for those who create gfx/ideas/better eviroment for ECC. Reason: It would be really cool to add a medal to recognize people who gave good ideas/service to ECC's community through creating gfx, excellent ideas, reporting big things, etc. Any Other Information: Would be a cool, exclusive, medal awarded to those who really did something cool for ECC. +1 Maybe to go along with this, a medal could be added for those who reported exploits or bugs. There's around 20 of them, and it would add even more incentive to bug test. (Random thought )
THe problem is...those who are not skilled at all with arts would have no chance of ever obtaining all medals...if anything, give the event medal.
^^ All medals should be able to be obtained by everyone. Medals that pertain to a specific skill make it difficult for a lot of users to get that medal. I do like the idea of adding new medals, but more so, ones that can be realistically achieved by everyone.
Although, this would give another method to users of obtaining the event medal, one of the hardest medals to get because it's hardly ever given out.
Tough? Maybe make it some kind of significant contribution medal then, but either way the point. A medal for those who do something good for ecc. However lately biggest things like that have been assorted art things.
I, as well as many others, am unrealistically terrible at collecting things, so therefore we should get rid of any collection medals because the few of us that are bad at collecting cannot possibly obtain any collecting medals Those artistic few that design things like the vote buttons, server logo, and other such things for the server are doing a great service to the server and everyone on it and should be recognized for it. +1
The quantity of the medal also comes in play here. There is maybe 1 design competition every 2 months, meaning 1 user would get this medal every 2 months. This would stop people from getting the medal, and that is more so what I'm trying to say, and from what I have been seeing in these competitions, only the winner is rewarded. Medals should be available to everyone to achieve, and at a moderate quantity. If you are bad at collecting at least you are available to achieve that medal.
Edited suggestion a bit. Artist -> Merit More inclusive to other types of help besides graphics but still exclusive to those who really do help.
But they're money, and actually, some of them are skill. Say someones full iron, and dia sword. You have ea/pf, and miq/cc. They have nearly if not a more powerful sword than you, and better armour, but yet 9/10 times i will kill them. Also, bfr on bfr fights doesn't just come naturally, ask @Exilenela. It takes skill to crit, dodge, and run away and heal pot without getting hit again :|. So it's not as easy as you think, before you critise come and try it out before please, thanks.

The event medal is for events - this is a separate sort of distinction. Not all events help the server but those that do (ie spawn build/PvP build comps) could get it.
Building competitions aren't the only way to get the medal. Lucky lotto, mine runs, PvP tournaments, etc.
