Minecraft Name: Aqqel Suggestion: Reset the sg stats from a player when they get banned for hacking. Reason: This should happen because when someone hacks and gets banned for it they should not have there sg stats available for everyone to see. It is also unfair to other users that users who are a head of them didn't get up to the top legit. Any Other Information: N/A Link To This Plugin: Just are sg stats page.
I agree with this is in principle, so +1. BUT, I'm not sure how practical it is. For example, if you wipe someone's stats, that will impact everyone who has ever killed them. Their kills would no longer exist. I seem to remember Kuke mentioning in an earlier suggestion along these lines, that the way which stats are stored prevent this from happening. I believe that the Data is stored per Game, so to wipe stats would remove whole games. I cannot confirm this though as my knowledge of how the sg stats works is minimal, but I don't think it is a straightforward thing to do.
Regarding what you said, would it be possible just to keep everything they have existing but just editing their total points to 0? Anyways, +1!
http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/suggestion-pvp-hackers-get-sg-mcmmo-combat-wipe.87305/ Andrew said that it would happen, but to my knowledge, no one's stats have been wiped.
Right now, the only punishment for hacking is a 3-day temp ban. So, I can install a hacked client, and continue to play (even if I get banned) with no punishments, except for temp-bans.
Sorry @Dccciz I wasn't copying your idea, didn't see it. However this should happen. Andrew said it would. He probably forgot knowing how busy he is.
+1 I agree but if that's too harsh maybe a 1/2 cut of the points to make room for points he/she may have earned on their own.
This my be so and I agree, I only put that for the players that are soft that's why I said "but if that's too harsh" however if I thought it was to harsh I would say "but it's too harsh" ^~^
Ah, I see. I see how this all links together. I am going to tag @kukelekuuk00 because he knows a lot about coding, logging, etc.
Simple. (I think ) All you do, is get someone like Andrew or Revan to dock their stats. Like take everything back to O.
During the SG Tournament we had to wipe a players stats and it was... very hard to do. To be honest it effects everyone who killed them or they killed. I used to approve of this, but I no longer think its practical.
The alternative is negating someone's stats, instead of wiping it. Let's say someone has 200 kills, 100 deaths and 5k points. You'd simply give him negative 5k points, negative 200 kills and negative 100 deaths. This is what I did with my own personal sg leaderboard before sgstats arrived.
