I actually agree with this. The present spawn is just... I don't know. Like something that got built by committee.

 

I like the general layout of the current spawn but the central pillared tower thing is kind of obnoxious. The first spawn was boring, this one is too complex.

We need a change, but maybe just modifying the current one will be enough, we don't necessarily need to do a complete overhaul.

Spawn is wayyy to confusing right now. Everything to spread apart and the tutorial set up is a joke. +1

 

I personally think that we need a new spawn, and I have heard some staff members bring it up as well. Something similar to the previous spawn - the one we had before this current one - would be nice. I like the idea of big portals, like what we have now, but I feel that, currently, everything is too close together and there is no open space. Whereas the old spawn, had tons of open space and had paths going here and there, leading to certain areas such as the mining world, aether, nether, etc. Overall, the previous spawn had a really nice layout, and I personally feel that something similar would be great for the server in general, and the players.

I'm fairly decent at building monumental things and planning very, very large structures. If a decision were ever made to consider a new spawn, I would volunteer to work on it if needed.

 

Last time it was a competition where the winner got ~$100.

 

I think gaining some extra space from condensing the outer ring which has the spawn statues.

As 90% of the statues are not used, I think a overhaul of the spawn should take place now, maybe making it so there is only 4-5 statues and where you again that extra space, spread out the main area.

I dont mind the spawn, but a lot of people aren't a massive fan of it, so I would be open to change.

I fully agree. Our current spawn is way too big and confusing to navigate. I also think we should have different spawn areas for Legacy and Rising. Having the same spawn in both worlds fries my brain.

 

I actually like the idea of both Spawns (Legacy and Rising) being the same layout, but maybe have a different colored floor for arrival point so that you get a visual cue as to which Spawn you have arrived.

I also like the idea of spreading out more than existing Spawn, but more "compact" than old Spawn... however, isn't the Hub supposed to be adding something new? If so, we'd probably need to see those changes before redesigning a Spawn area.

I like the Tutorial format, but I think it's not easy enough to find. (That is another thread discussion though)

+1 to this! I think some kind of change would be great. Spawn really is pretty huge and could be condensed somehow. If it comes up where there's consideration for spawn builds from players, I have to say I'd really love to see what @jmichael214 would come up with. :p
