Making it like a spawnshop? So you pay X amount per month (say, $75000 ECD) and you renew it much like a shop? If this can be implemented, I would be all for it
That really only works out on paper. In reality, if you have to pay $75,000 a month, I doubt a large group of people would actually be willing to pay this amount.
It can be whatever. $75000 was a starting thought/number for it. $50000 seems more reasonable though, as it would still require 600,000 to achieve Subscriber Gold (about what it costs now in IRL cash).
I would not like for it to be changed to in-game currency; many users including myself are paying every month an irl monetary value, and to see it being changed to ECD, should not be implemented unless all users' spawn statues have expired, to make it fair for all who have spawn statues currently.
Still, $50k a month is a lot of money to be paying. You're targeting too small of a market to make a profit off of this.
The thing is, many people are effectively paying $50k+ per for a statue now for a month subscription. So, in reality, there isn't a whole lot of difference, other than it opens up doors for users who can't spend money on ECC/would rather spend EcoDollars rather than USD or their currency of choice.
Still, look at all the unowned statues. It would still be fairly ineffective, given there would still be that small, small market you're reaching.
I personally would pay for $50k a month simply for the medals. If anything, I think we should start the prices high. As we start to understand the demand for the statues, we could lower to a more reasonable price.
+1 Don't see a problem with it. I just hope all those other suggestions get read and locked. Out of all the suggestions that haven't gotten approved, I predict this one will get approved fast. Why? Well it helps rack in the dough!
We never said a pricing.,. It doesn't have to be 50k. It could be the same as spawn shops, and once they are gone players could buy and sell the plots just like in the market.
