Minecraft Name: knears2000
Suggestion: To start builders with 250 ECD
Reason: Well, when they get onto the server, they have just the /kit starter but no money. This could cause them to quit because they have no grasp of the server nor do they know how to make money. When I first joined the server I had no money and no idea what I was getting into. A little money would had helped me get some shelter and basic supplies. They can buy diamonds or a home. I know you will say "Voting gives them money" but, do new builders really vote. From my understanding, they don't because I remember I didn't. Heck, I didn't even know what voting is. Just starting out with 250 ECD's isn't going to hurt anyone but it will only help and it is a neutral amount of money so that it won't hurt the economy.
Any Other Information: Nope

Considering how many builders join a day, tons of money will be added to the economy with nothing taken out. Builders need to learn how to make money and I highly doubt starting with money will help them learn more.

This is a hardcore economy... Are you born with $250 beside you?
It would take just one person to abuse this. Get a bunch of accounts and/or ask all your friends to join and send you the money; not very hard.
Builders can sell any leftovers from /kit starter to get a bit of money if they need it. However, once a builder uses /kit starter and goes into the wild and/or Mining World, it takes no more than five to ten minutes to make a bit of money. -
Intellectualist BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Yeah it makes sense but really, 26 bucks will get you like 25,000Ecodollars with a donation then buying a minecraft account and getting 250ecodollars. Unless you have like 20 friends that don't play multiplayer, or don't play on your very favorite minecraft server, you won't make any money.
Now that point aside, It took me a while to figure out what voting was too. While I disagree builders should start with money, it's not without it's pros. -
knears2000 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️I see but, when you joined how long did it take you to get resident or figure out how to vote. Yes there is the kit starter but when I joined, there was no mining world for builders, although it took me 3 days to get resident, I didn't know about voting or /kit starter. I survived on my own. I was nomadic.

kukelekuuk C͕̹̲̽ͪ͐ͩ̔L̜̦̝͈ͦ̿̾̿ḘA̻̗̤̳̐ͭ̆̿̃̑ͭN̊̓͑̇ͯBuilder ⛰️ Ex-EcoLeader ⚜️⚜️⚜️ Premium UpgradeBuilders can just type /help and that's literally all the information you need to really get started. And there's also tutorial island.
-
Intellectualist BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️But builders don't know what /help is or that it exists...they don't know where tutorial island is.
-
Sputnick587 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️Then they either read the signs at spawn, or ask a moderator on what to do.
All the information they need is there. They just have to use it. -
Intellectualist BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Yes, if only they knew how to use it.
-
Sputnick587 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️There are literally dozens of signs in spawn telling new users how to do things.
-
Intellectualist BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Yes I know. I usually ignore all those signs :p
-
Sputnick587 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️Theres your problem. You didn't know the commands because you didn't read.

When I joined? Resident was a free-form custom Mayor protection area rank; and the only rank. The voting site we were on (which was actually a bit later) gave no rewards (rewards were not possible). And I never got Resident in my couple of weeks/month I was on the server, because back then, it was truly difficult, unlike today.
When I joined, there were no users to help me/they disliked newbs (close-knit community), no Staff/one or two Staff members, nothing was free, started with nothing, no signs to help out, inflated and broken economy, most of the map actually filled up, no donation features, no voting rewards, the only shop was always closed unless Andrew came online and opened it (in which everything costs a crap ton for a new user), etc. This is all probably why I am against a starting balance... Because I know users on present-day ECC have a real good start and really don't need that boost; things are so much easier now than they used to be, and they continue to become easier.
If so many people survived on nothing at all, I think our new users can survive on all the rich resources we have available for them currently.
Also, for those saying, "new users don't know about /help," last I saw... /help is shown every single time you login, in the MOTD. The MOTD is actually /help - or similar - and guides users on what to look at with commands and starting out. -
Intellectualist BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️I'm not talking about me. I read every single stinkin sign for the first week. Until ofc I knew all I needed to know, and now I automatically shut it out.
-
Intellectualist BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Mayor ⚒️⚒️Nelsin, they aren't lazy. How many ways can I say this?
They. Don't. Know. How.
If I was a president, and left the server, and joined as a builder, you'd better bet I'd get resident in a day, two at most. Why? Because I already played for 6 months.-

All the resources are there for them to gain help and find out how to make money such as voting for the nstars.... It's up to them, if they don't see the signs then that's there fault.
