Minecraft Name:
Dr_Dragon_Slayer
Suggestion:
I am suggesting that people who win without using kits should win more money if they win. This means that if say Bob goes over with no kits and plays against Sam who has kits, and he beats Sam, Bob should win more money. Basically like a bonus for beating a kitter.
Reason:
This would be a great addition to ecocitycraft because I have been on arena 4 or 3 and have wanted to play, then left because of kitters. It just seemed not worth it, I could make more money in other hunger games arenas. If people saw they could make more money, they would play more with the kitters. This also has a positive affect on kit purchasers. They get to have more players to kill and less people will leave the game because of them.

Maybe just extra money for killing someone who has a kit spawned? Not extra for winning the entire game because people without kits surprisingly win often and I feel it'd bring a surplus of money into the economy. Im not sure if this is a good idea though. Feedback?

I don't believe it will have a positive effect on Kit Users because this will make people target kit users.
You said kit users can benefit from this because they have more opponents to slay. That isn't true because the kit users may not succeed. They are very likely to not succeed because they can't defend themselves well if there are tons of people after them who are hungry for money. If you ask andrewkm to make kits more OP so that the kit users can defend themselves better the non kit users will think it isn't worth it to go after the kit users.
Thats the problem. :/ -
Dr_Dragon_Slayer BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️I still think that it is a good idea though. We non kitters had to adapt to kitters. So how about they adapt to the "horde"? They will have to learn that the no kitters can win. We can actually have a chance to win! And more money! Andrew, if he accepts this idea, will not make the kits even more op.
-
Dr_Dragon_Slayer BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️Seems like a good idea. The usual kill of one person is 100 dollars. Maybe instead we could update that to 150 dollars if you kill a kitter who is using a kit currently?

I don't like your original suggestion, for a few reasons:
- Is it people whom own kits? I own CC and I barely use it
- Would it be if you win with a kit in use? If it is, I don't believe it can distinguish enchanted vs not enchanted items
- Would it be determined if you use /kit, if it is I know a HUGE loophole

I disagree with the OP. Players who donate do so to gain an advantage, not be put on a kind of blacklist. If non-donors made extra money by winning SG, they would never feel the need to donate, and donating would put them at a disadvantage.

This would negatively affect SG and also, what is the real point of this? To attack kit users and take away revenue from Andrew?

I don't think this is a bad idea, but I don't know it is technically feasible.

-1 while it's a fact a person without a kit will have to work harder to win it's not fair to kitters. As expressed countless times they have payed money for these kits so they have already payed their penalty. There is no point in making a person pay more because of something they have already payed for lol.
-also what if a person kills a kitter and uses the kits? Are they penalized too?
-what about teams where one kitter shares?
-what if there is a game with all kitters?
There are too many different factors that can make this unfair for many players. -

I've been hearing a lot of, "not fair to kitters" or, "no revenue for Andrew" You are wrong indeed. This isn't putting kitters in some tight squeeze. It is basically a better way to nerf the kits, without having to nerf the kits themselves. I know when kits were made, we adapted, stratagized and made ways to survive, hence Survival Games. This suggestion is to mainly make the odds a bit more even. This could also lead to the creation of many more kits. For example you could use an axe and it could hit multiple people. Like you hit one person and other people within range get half the damage applied to the person you are hitting. As to answer some of the questions:
Teams where one kitter shares?
-My response to this is that to get the extra money of killing a kitter, you must kill the person who did /kit.
What if there is a game with all kitters?
-Then they can all kill each other for bonus cash! This makes the game even more fun!
What about people who own kits but don't use them?
-If you don't use /kit ingame, then you cannot be killed for extra cash.
Could it be determined with /kit? If so I know a huge loophole!
-It could be used with /kit, I don't know for sure about all the modding involved. And if there is a HUGE loophole, or any loophole at all, report it on the forums! There are always loopholes! -
knears2000 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️First of all, this is probably uncodeable. Also, kits have been nerfed on multiple occasions! Your attitude is getting very, very annoying towards this situation. Put down some cash to get an advantage because in the real world bud, that's how it's gonna be.

PhantomJedi759 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Resident ⚒️That is perfect logic right there...
Nerfing the kits is nerfing the kits, period. No matter how much you are trying to justify your cause, your argument still is that people who paid money for something should not receive what they paid for, which is a notable advantage over all other players.-

If non-kit users adapt in order to defeat kit users and kit users adapt in order to defeat non-kit users and defend themselves better people won't donate to buy kits because they see no advantage for kit users or unbalance.

You're such a hypocrite. Lol.
I think a part people are missing, and maybe I even picked up wrong, is that kitters can kill other kitters for extra cash. Sure it makes you a target, but in the end when you have MIQ, Buffer and spy and do 7 hearts of damage who do you really think will win? Some guy who just joined with a wood sword? No.
Again, I don't mind most kits at all. The problem with SG and kits is MIQ. MIQ ruins every aspect of SG and completely ruins the game. Like knears, you can say whatever you want about having an "advantage". With MIQ, "advantage" is completely sugar coating it. Hardly anyone stands a chance against Buffer + MIQ. It ruins the game. It ruins SG. It turns away new users.
-1 to the suggestion simply because I don't see it needed because most kits that aren't MIQ are not really target worthy. Because at least with those people without kits stand a chance. -

PhantomJedi759 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-Resident ⚒️MIQ costs $25. For a player to use it every match, they have to pay a total of $75. Buffer is $20, and a total of $60 for the steady use. If someone is willing to pay $135 for perks in a video game, they really do need to have a massive advantage.
If it ruined the game, people would stop playing entirely. However, I think we all know that it really doesn't ruin the game. There are multiple SG arenas, and a MIQ user is not sitting in each one every single match, or even a majority of the matches.
The new users who get turned away probably ought not to be on the server anyway. Why?
- This is EcoCityCraft, not SG Galore. You play for the economy, and if SG is annoying, just don't do it!
- Players who complain about donor perks generally are not donors, and most likely do not contribute to the community. Why would the admins care if they leave?
- Along the same lines as #2, players who ragequit because they lose a match are pretty much always bad community members. There can only be one winner per every SG match, and if all 23 potential losers get mad because the winner had an advantage, tough luck.

Don't quote me on this, but I think MIQ itself probably does 6-7 hearts?
This weekend when I played about 5 times there was 2-3 MIQ kitters in each match.

SURVIVAL GAMES ON ECC!
Take a gander: http://www.google.com/trends/explore#q=Ecocitycraft
Notice how one of the more recent spikes begins at February 2013, right after the launch of hunger games: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/ecc-has-hunger-games.35985/
The next spike begins during June 2013, when more people had the opportunity to play on minecraft. What happened around then?
Take a gander: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/ecc-survival-games-summer-project-progress.56881/
And now ECC's popularity is declining. Why? Lack of things to do. SG brought in something new, something interesting for everyone to enjoy. It is now sadly pay to win.
New players bring in more donations so it's ignorant to say admins would care if they left.
I understand that yes, donations are required to keep the server running. Hugely overpowered kits are taking away future donation money from users who may actually enjoy playing if they didn't get 1/2 hit KO'd everytime they try to have some fun. -
knears2000 BuilderBuilder ⛰️ Ex-President ⚒️⚒️MIQ does 3.75 hearts without the other person having armor nor the user with the sword has buffer or a critical hit.
