+1 for the idea, but the coding needed may take lots of time and effort...so I'd say +0.5!

 

ok here's how it works
we setup a fifth arena - only open on special occasions (this map needs to be giant)
upper staff (or me hehehehe) creates an application thread
we can have games every week, or maybe the last day of the month is TeamSG day
multiple matches so everyone can play
people can only play a certain amount (once a month or something, depending on player demand)
apps open for a week, if you want to join team sg you apply
use random # generator and post #s to select 24 players
randomly make teams of 12
reward is based on amount of kills and amount of players left at the end of the round
andrew can also setup bets if we know the teams ahead of time
odds are based on the amount of money that is bet
if people bet 1 mil on one team and 1 dollar on the other, the 1dollar guy will get a much bigger reward if he wins bet

important features:
no kits so it is fair and survival based
teams are random - fosters teamwork

what i'd like to see:
not a traditional sg
setup an arena shaped like a 2x2 square

they can choose where to go
team 1 has to defend A and B
game of strategy
the objective for team2 must take about 30 seconds so that team1 has a chance to win
rounds can end by teams being eliminated or the task being completed

I like Dccciz's idea. If not that, then there would need to be a Max team size, and there would have to be something to stop the game from stopping a 4v2 or what not. Even if we just use the part where the arena is only open at certain times, I really like the idea of a random number generator. Even if it is just teams of 3 or 2. There are some OP teams out there *glares* and it gets very annoying when they just win every event/game.

 

@JamieSinn is it possible to make an sg arena private so that only certain users can join?

 

@Dccciz, Couldn't they locate the signs somewhere under spawn or hidden and just TP accordingly if they couldn't make a private SG? Of course, setting homes would be against the rules.

This seems silly to me. The solution to your issue here is not to "team" with someone that you don't trust. Its basic logic.

I like the idea, but if your team wins, and you hid and did NOTHING. Your getting free money?

 

On other servers, I've seen it where you create a party upon login, and whenever the leader joins a game, the rest of the party added at that time follows. I'll just use an example of me, ChargerBoltz, and oRON647 here. I create a party, ChargerBoltz5 and oRON647 join that party once they log in. Now, whenever I join a game of SG or Skywars or what have you, they join the lobby with me.

Basically, if you can do this for an "Arena 5", this Team SG idea might work quite well. However, getting it to that point might be just as much of a challenge....

the problem with this is:

someone on your team gets 2 kills - that means that 1 person on that team can't get a kill, even if they are trying...

 

That's a big problem. Because kill tryin or kill not tryin they will get money. Even if they try THERES not really a solution for that. :/
