Minecraft Name: OhMrsKittyKat
Suggestion: Temp Ban Bails
Reason: There have been times when I really needed to be un banned from my temp ban (once or twice) and I had to actually wait it out. Putting a bail of 100k - 500k (Set the prices should be high) would be taken out of the players balance and their temp ban time would be lifted. EDIT: Stop thinking that this makes richer players not have to abide the rules. Rich people get advantages, this can be one of them. The cases that this would apply on are MINOR meaning that it is not every felony possible.
EDIT2: LOL at all the people whining that this makes rich people get more benefits, BEING RICH ON AN ECONOMY SERVER SHOULD GIVE BONUSES, AND RICH PEOPLE WOULDN'T SPEND 500k TO SPAM, TRUST ME. Just cause your poor and wouldn't be able to afford it doesn't mean that it shouldn't be implemented.
Any Other Information: This would take tons of money out of the economy (which is needed) and can be used for minor temp bans such as language or dis respect. Players may have the option to wait out their bans or just have X amount of eco dollars taken out of their balances. Of course if the felony is major such as grief / hacks then there will be no bail but for minor crimes, the richer folk of ecc would rather just pay some money to continue playing.

i have to +1 and -1 this
first, +1 for the idea of taking money out of the economy. exp could slowly become less expensive, and cause less economic problems in the near future.
-1 because that would involve changing rules, which would have to get approved by skylexia AND andrewkm, since skylexia writes the rules.

-1 because rich players will think they can do anything and not care because they can get unbanned as soon as a ban appeal is accepted.

It is still a violation of the rules, regardless of the severity. Yes, I did read :p
In addition, minor crimes do not have that long of a tempban(1-6 hours) -

The point is, one should learn from his/her mistakes. Being able to buy a way out of punishment is not only unfair, but useless in teaching a lesson.

Let's see we have a choice here. A. Let rich people get their way or B. Keep the server in order. hmm I wonder

While this would take money out of the economy, I have to disagree for a few reasons.
This would inevitability lead to "richer" players thinking that the rules don't apply to them, because they can just get off with a fine.
Moreso, it seems an impossible idea to practice. Either GA's or Andrew would have to be the one to process the application, and for most tempbans (for minor offenses), it just wouldn't be practical. Why appeal a 6 hour tempban and wait 5 hours for that to be handled?
You mention you were tempbanned for 48 hours as a result of spamming... to get a tempban that long it almost certainly wouldn't have been your first offense...
In my opinion, the community gains more from teaching people to play by the rules than any amount of money being taken out of the economy.-

If it is so "minor" to require a tempban. Serve it.
As was said before, don't break the rules. The penalties are lax as it is. No reason in encourage rule breaking. -
Absolutely not. Who defines minor? Minor could be spamming, disrespect, etc. So if I have some cash hanging around, I'm allowed to break a rule (spam all of chat?). Based on what you're saying, you can buy "rule-breaks" with ECD. I don't think this will ever happen.

If it was spamming just once, you would have been warned and it would have stopped. But something, whether it be your past actions, an escalation of the current issue, or something else (I do not know the particulars), it resulted in not only a kick, or a tempbam of 3 hours, but a tempban of 48 hours. This appears to me, to be more than 'an accident' and judging by the 'punishment', someone else thought so as well.
