Minecraft Name: Nicit6 Suggestion: Add a message to the new deathmatch holding period telling you can you can move. Or a timer that counts down. Reason: There's no way to know, so you can easily not realize that it's over. Any Other Information: N/A Link To This Plugin: N/A
I was just about to make this exact suggestion. Luckily, I saw this before I made another. The only way to know the second it's over is by holding W and waiting for something to happen.
I don't think it's needed, just count down till 10 in your head. Adding a message like that involves extra unnecessary code. Which contributes to the mess that is SG.
On the contrary, I've seen this disadvantage some newer players to sg. The other servers that implement the holding period we recently have also implement the message I've suggesting, leading players who have recently joined and are expecting this to be surprised by the deathmatch actually having begun without any announcement other than the warning 10 seconds prior.
Or at least something along the lines of: 3 2 1 FIGHT! I can understand not going all the way from ten.
Well there is a big part to this. I do not know if anyone else realizes this but sg has been incredibly lagy reccently. I think this may be connected to the recent changes to SG and making more changes would only make it worse.
I would be happy with a just the "Fight!". From what I understand, the recent lag is not just the sg lagging and is on the host side. Could be entirely wrong there, but that's what I've heard.
