This is so much more useful in the real world where taxes and such matter. In game it's easiest to just set up a sign for holding your town funds, though you would have to get the money out for purchasing town features.

I personally think it would be easier to organize it yourself with signs so this in my opinion is unnecessary.

 

I like this idea it would become faster and safer than using trade signs and I can see many benefits for plot town owners who have builders who are on payment plans ect for their plots. The only problem with having users pay to the account is being able to track who paid what. Also I wouldn't just dismiss this idea because we have trade signs, trade signs cause a bs amount of lag the more you have them and I prefer my towns to have as little lag as possible. Overall though I think this addition would be fun and neat. I do not think it would hurt the server in anyway.

 

I'm not dismissing it I just personally prefer signs X) but i see your point and how it could be nice, however it's just not my cup of tea

Too many issues.

Just a couple of questions to flesh the idea out to make sure I understand:
I am wondering how you would access the funds, and who would have access to the funds in the case of multiple co-owners. Do the owners need to be online for the funds to go through? This seems like a way around the 'not being online' form of payments, but not sure how that would work.

 

I would suppose the original owner would be the only one with access to the account?
If it's not too much trouble on Andrew and the developer staff, then I think this would be a great addition.

There are factions plugins that can allow people to make a faction and a faction bank. This could be used to create "group" balance accounts and make it easier for teams and friends to share money. Perhaps the ability to create a team could be a application feature, or the ability to add amounts of members could be application based... 10-15-20... and so on.

One potential issue could be that an original owner could ask for people to donate and then just remove the money and use it for their own personal benefit. I imagine that agreements on what money would be spent on before someone donates would be near impossible to track/enforce.

How about the idea that all town features must be purchased out of the town account and the original owner doesn't have access to it/can't remove the money? That way you know that all money donated to the fund can only be spent on the town.

Although this does limit it in that the money can't be for buying blocks etc, and would mean that money in the account up to the point of having enough for a feature would be inaccessible. I'm just thinking out loud now lol, so I'll shut up! Some food for thought though!
