Minecraft Name: UnitedStates2 Suggestion: Stop having staff say: "No more irrelevant posts," and such. Reason: Forum warnings are a WARNING. We shouldn't be treating warnings as punishments - warnings aren't a punishment. It's a warning to cease and desist the actions that are you are being warned for. It's pretty dumb to treat warnings as a punishment, which is what the staff team is currently doing for some reason. Just give out forum warnings and delete the offending users posts. Any Other Information: N/A Link To This Plugin/Is this a custom addition?: N/A
+1 Irrelevant posts are just people trying to get ratings/mad street cred, slap em with a forum warning every time and I'm sure it'll stop. I'd say there should be an exception for new players, though.
Why? That gives credibility to the idea that forum warnings are a punishment, not a warning. If they're new, then they should be just as accountable to the rules. It's not like 1 forum warning is an instant ban. You'd need to do it twice more to be banned.
The reason I said this is because forum warnings stay visible on your account forever, but the points go away, you're right.
@Server Admin, I agree with this- we should be able to warn straight off the back. Any posts created by people who are either not related to the complaint, or are posting with something that is not relevant, should get an immediate warning. No verbal warns.
Yep, if it's "warnings" you can't have both - It's either forum warnings or verbal warnings - We're treating forum warnings like "punishments" now, which is pretty stupid. I'd much rather have forum warnings than verbal ones for the sake of the server, as it's pretty dumb to get rid of forum bans.
Personally, I don't see the point in the staff saying "Don't post this" or "don't post that here", save the typing energy and just warn the people who are stupid enough to break rules in the first place.
Yes please I don't understand why the verbal warnings happen. A forum warning is both a warning and a punishment as it is a concise warning not to do that as you are now 1/3rd of the way to a ban, and yet a warning as you still are 2/3rds away from a ban, therefore a forum warning is perfect as is. There is no reason to give any more leeway than that. I would love to see this implemented.
One forum warning isn't going to do much - They should learn from that warning unless they're a troll or too stupid to follow the rules.
