I see newer users in chat asking where the tutorial is, and when I, or someone else, try to help them they get confused about where the portal is.

They don't even have a /warp tutorial, and when I have to cite something in there to help a builder I have to go through spawn +1

 

Not sure why this has never been done before, but it is an awesome suggestion!

 

This would be super helpful! Most new players can get lost sometimes, so this would be great.

 

Or we could allow all builders+ to use the /Warp tutorial. AFAIK permissions can be separated for warps if wanted, so they can only use this one without the TP feature.

Per warp permissions in the essentials config and it should work. I believe the permission would be essentials.warp.tutorial for "/warp tutorial"

 

Or how about making new players spawn in the tutorial and making it interactive and adding rewards to encourage them. What about a message when someone brand new comes- all things that i've seen on other servers that are successful and help build community...

Sure, if any of these suggestions ever get looked at. Or if they give us a status update on what's up. This would hopefully help new players!

 

On a side not; do not spawn inside the tutorial. There are some players who hate being shodded around like cattle. One of those players may just well be me... hehe. I like the option of /warp, but usually if I spawn within a tutorial I run right through and make sure the builders of it know what I have done.
