//up is an extremely useful command that comes with WorldEdit. It works like this, you type //up <number of blocks in the air> and it places a glass block at that elevation above you. For example if you type //up 25, it will place a glass block 25 blocks above you. This could be packaged with extcommands++, which in my opinion should have more in it for a $50 package. In my opinion it should come with a command of a minute or so, but that's obviously open to be discussed. This would be very useful when making things such as a platform high in the air for a trampoline or something. Thanks
Eh, this could have many problems with permissions, and it replacing a previous block above you.'however, with the appropriate coding this could be a alright suggestion. +1
This would need a cool down, and it would have to be with a block in your inventory (with the full WE version, it can be anything). It would take playing with, but seeing how much work the devs can do, I don't really doubt anything is possible at this point.
I agree with this, fly is an expensive feature that many have paid for and this would really cut into that. -1
@TURBOxN3RD @matrix_rep That's not at all what it does... It doesn't let you fly around freely, it literally just places 1 block in the air. Also, as I mentioned, it could be packaged with extcommands++ which takes $150 to get.
I'd use it for things I needed that were floating. For example, if I want to build a plane, usually I start by building a tower up to place the lowest block, then breaking the tower other than the block. I would then finish the plane, with fly, from that one block. I have to be honest though, I don't think it's really practical to use this to build whole structures. It would take longer to calculate the distance and build an entire thing for a user without fly this way, then actually placing the blocks. That's why I also suggested a cool down -- this doesn't seem like it should be //up's intended purpose.
instead of //up wouldn't it be better if it's a command that simply placed a block beneath where you're standing? You can fly up, and then use the command to place a block beneath your feet.
