Thread title- A when can I vote command that tells you how long it is until you can vote or if you can vote. Minecraft name: Ltrain561 Suggestion: a new command that tells you how long until all 6 of your votes are ready. I know that a message comes up when you can but I would like to see how much longer I have until I can vote. it could be as easy as /can I vote. Reason: About 5 minutes ago I was playing ECC and I wanted to know if I could vote. I didn't see the message come up so I didn't think so. But that's when I got the great idea of.... if there was a command that you could type in. you would know exactly when you could vote all 6 time. Other info: I think it would increase voting for the server and it could be a paid kit but I don't think it should be. Link to plugin I apologize but I don't no for sure. -LTRAIN561
Generally it's possible write down the time you voted on a site. Most people own paper and a pen/pencil, so it shouldn't be too hard... (Note app on smartphones too, or the ECC Voting Apps that track voting time and such.) Also, despite every vote website having different timing methods, you can always hop on one of them and see what it says. I believe some sites tell you right off the bat how long you have to wait; others you may have to try to vote, but they will also tell you. Main issue with a command telling you the times, though, is that the sites time differently. As well, some (last I checked) only tracked IP and not username. I'm not sure how the coding of a checking command would work, but it may not be simple or possible. I'm +1 if it's extremely simple to do, but -1 if it's a hassle. There are many other ways to check, so spending a devs time on something minor would deter them from more important things.
Personally think this would waist developer time, I personally vote every time I get home. And if i want to see how much time is left id try voting for "Vote 2" if it wont let me then it will show how much longer i have. The concept is +1 but its not necessary -1
+1 as the different votes have different times so the command could be /vote<number>timeleft or something like thay, but if it is a hassle it may not be the best thing to focus on as you can use pen paper and/or just remember the time
thank you to all that have posted. it has given me and hopefully others more ideas and suggestions. THX AGAIN -LTRAIN561
