Minecraft Name: TheZombieMuffin Suggestion: A command to protect certain items from being sold to /sell all. You would hold the item in your hand and type /protect or something Reason: So we can protect stuff like food from being sold Other Information: Nope Link to this plugin/Is this a custom addition?: n/a
Well to be honest I think this is a pretty shoddily written suggestion, my friend. However sometimes I wish you could do something similar. For example I like to use /sell all but also like to give e-reps so it would be awesome if I could just name the chest and it would protect it from being sold with the sell all command. Named animals are protected from despawning after all, it's not a totally illogical idea. However I don't think that it could be applied to stuff like a stack of porkchops. I recommend you utilize the /sell toolbar feature and just get your food out of the toolbar. The only reason that doesn't work out great for me is now I have feedplus, nv, and an eff7 so I'm trying to sell basically a whole inventory save some /owned tools and one darn chest lol. But there are a million things I'd rather the devs focus on before they spend actual time trying to save my one darn chest I should be smart enough to just place before I do /sell all. -1
The main problem I can see is that this would need to be a custom addition, which would need to be separated from the Essentials /sell since it does not support this functionality. Basically, we would need a plugin that alters the balance and the inventory of a user without using the fully functional /sell command... which I don't really see the need for. There are many alternatives: A temporary chest that is placed down before /sell all, /eec, a macro keybind for /sell hand while scrolling through your toolbar, etc.
Too much work for too little gain. I'd much rather have the developer team focus on the Network than an entirely new version of essentials.
