I don't think this is something ECC would be able to create. I think this is something Mojang would have to create.

 

There is one problem with this, and it could only be done if mojang made it. And that reason is because well, logically you can't just make a random block (Eample: Dirt) into the lava sponge. Why? Because its a minecraft block for its own purpose.

Commands? I don't think so. Im guessing you are saying you do (Command) (Coords xyz) then it clears the lava. That will not work, because

1) You can clear lava in a town you dont have perms to
2)it wont leave a log

And its really not that hard to dump a water bucket over the lava/place dirt to cover it up :/

 

I would love to see some kind of lava commands. Lava is a pain that I want to donate away lol.

 

The sponge has no function any more, that function was removed long ago. Right now it's a plugin that takes care of the sponge's functions.

 

There are tons of mods made everyday creating new blocks. This wouldnt need to be created by mojang

 

Agreed a user could do /clear lava 5 on the edge of their town and if theres a town within a 5 block radius the lava is removed there aswell

I remember this I think it should be considered and yes u can make a command to get rid of lava using a specific block. So I would like to see this happen if it can.

 

He's right. Sponges already can be used to clear blocks from another town. at max though it is 2 blocks. Not much damage there water or lava though. having a pluging that clears lava, just like we have a plugin that clears water, makes a lot of sense. Throw that into pyro+ or even make a pyro++ as I am sure people would pay $15 for that upgrade to get rid of lava.
