Just an observation. But it should be noted that everyone that contributes cannot be guaranteed a melon sword unless they continue to contribute indefinitely. This is a lottery and a modified pyramid scheme (unsustainable). Not saying it is illegal but beware.

May I recommend a sharing corporation where members of the group share a set of melon swords after they contribute a certain amount of nether stars. Then, they remain a member of the group as long as they contribute nether stars.

 

Yeah, enter at your own risk, we aren't forcing you. I'm happy to continue giving netherstars indefinitely as there a ton better/fast chance of me getting my stuff this way. Sure, it may take a while, sure, it might even take longer then doing it on my own, but, there's always the chance of doing it 50 times faster.

As for your second idea, I don't want to share a melon sword, I want to own a melon sword. And, I'm not here just to get a melon sword, the first thing i want is the 13 record. This is not a "Melon sword company" It's a "netherstar company".

It is impossible to do in survival. I'm not even sure you can do it in creative. It's basically a diamond sword with Eff V, Silk Touch I, and Unbreaking III enchantments. A normal enchanting on a sword could not get you Eff V or Silk Touch I.
The only reason you can get it on the server is because Op (basically total command) on a server is like Creative Mode Advanced.

It has been a week since the last update. I would think we should be at least halfway to the next sword prize. Any updates on the star count? This would be a great motivator if we have accumulated a few hundered.

While I had my initial reservations., I have to say... as long as management stays on top of things: this has turned out to be a success. More than I thought would be possible.
