After years of enslavement by Virgon, Tauron liberated itself from Virgon's rule 100's of years ago, a fact still celebrated today in the yearly 'midsummer festival'. Whilst originally a farming colony, Virgon's influence - and Tauron's eventual independence - has allowed it to grow into one of the lands most prosperous trade hubs. Despite it's recent rise in wealth, Tauron has not completely abandoned it's roots, and even today remains a popular figure among the poorer colonies.​

Whilst Tauron gained it's independence, the colony has been plagued ever since with a constant power struggle between it's elected government, and a criminal organisation known as the ha'la'tha. Though unseen for many years, many believe the ha'la'tha to still have a strong influence in the running city, even today, and many others fear their return.
