    So...I'm bored...MORE MATH TIME! :D

    Basic Music Theory:
A measure is one "bar" of music.
4/4 is the time signature, or the amount of beats that can go into 1 measure
In this experiment, we are going to use these types of notes:

Quarter Rest: 1 beat of silence
Quarter Note: 1 beat of a note
Half Note: 2 beats of a note
Whole Note: 4 beats of a note
Eighth note: 1/2 a beat of a note
Sixteenth Note: 1/4 a beat of a note

Please keep in mind we are just using notes found in a C Major scale, meaning that there are these notes in the scale:

    C (lower) D E F G A B C (higher)

    Alright!

So, in case you didn't know, 16 Sixteenth notes go into one measure. So, if you were to do your ENTIRE 4 bar phrase with just 16th notes, that means that it would look like:

    4(8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8)

Which is equal to: 1,125,899,906,842,624 different phrases! (Keep in mind that this is JUST if you do 16th notes in a C-Major scale!)

Now, if you were to replace 16th notes with the others, you would get:

    Quarter Rests: 4(8x8x8x8) = 16,384
    Quarter Notes: (same as above)
    Half Notes: 4(8x8) = 256
    Whole Notes: 4(8) = 32
    Eighth Notes: 4(8x8x8x8x8x8x8x8) = 67,108,864

Now, all of these added up are equal to: 1,125,899,973,984,544 different phrases (only using the same type of note for all the measures!)

Well I am going to stop here....if you guys wanna continue this, post below. If I made a mistake in my math, make sure you reply so I can fix it

    *End math time with spenca*

Kinda. I am in a high school orchestra (violins FTW :3) and my conductor/teacher was telling me about four-bar phrases in Eleanor Rigby, the Beatles song (one song that we are doing in the class). I saw the Vsauce video and I was wondering about 4-Bar phrases...soooooo :3
