Monster Hunter Normally, I would just ask if anyone plays this game, and if they do if they can join me in multiplayer mode, but since I was bored beyond belief while writing this, I'm gonna do a full expination. Monster Hunter Series: Monster Hunter (Otherwise known as MH) is a unique video game series for the Nintendo DS & Play-Station (Plz no copyright law interfere with this). It's based on, obviously, hunting monsters. How the game works (and I'm using the latest release, MH4U, or better known as Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate) is you of course, start with a tutorial, then you begin to start doing quests. There are 4 different kinds of quests: Gathering quests, Hunting quests, Monster Quests, and Expeditions. No matter what you do, you get rewards. You use the rewards to make/buy armor and weapons, use those against monsters, get more rewards, and so on so forth. But personally, I'm getting tired of that, so I wanted to play with the fellow members of ECC! [The following information is not required] Weapon Classes: Great Sword: The Great Sword is a massive cutting weapon that is very slow, but very powerful to make up for it. Long Sword: The Long Sword is yet another massive cutting weapon. It usually has good elemental damage, great good range for an melee weapon. Sword & Shield: The Sword & Shield isn't a very powerful weapon, but has good blocking ability and is a decently fast weapon. Best use of it is combo attacks. Dual Blades: Dual blades is a very fast and powerful weapon. In return, it is the shortest range weapon in the game and lacks the ability to block. Best use is be careful and strike and the right moment. Hammer: The hammer is the heaviest weapon in the game, but can really pack a punch! Best use is combo attacks. Hunting Horn: The Hunting Horn is a unique weapon, with the ability to power-up your allies. Is decently strong, very slow, and very useful. Lance: The Lance is a decent weapon that has very long range (For a melee). Although it is a long range weapon, it does not have the best attack. It allows you to jump on the monster and mount it. Switch Axe: The Switch Axe is a special weapon, because it takes on 2 different forms. It is a weaker version of the Great Sword, but when activated, it will change into an axe and do massive damage! It is a very slow weapon. Charge Blade: The Charge Blade is another unique weapon, starting off as a Sword & Shield, then turns in a powerful battleaxe! It is stronger but slower in sword mode than the sword and shield, and as powerful as a hammer in axe mode. Insect Glaive: An extremely unique weapon. A mix of a Long Sword, Hunting Horn and a Lance. With good power and range, it also holds the power of controlling insects. Each Insect Glaive controls a different insect, each with different abilities. Moderate speed and power. Ranged Weapons GunLance: A less powerful lance with the mix of a shotgun. Yeah... Not much left to say about that. Light Bow-Gun: A crossbow that is a fast, weak weapon, similar to the dual blades. Use different ammo for extra power and special effects Heavy Bow-Gun: A stronger, heavier version of the Light Bow-Gun... Yeah... Not much more... Bow: A standard bow that has good speed and power. Comes with arrows and a quiver. Use arrow coating for special affects. I Hope You Know About Monster Hunter Now, And Hopefully Join Me In the Hunt! I remember when I used to play Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on the PSP. It was one of my favorite games and I have considered buying MH4U. p.s There are no MH games that have been released on Xbox globally and a majority of the games in the series have either been released on some some form of PlayStation or a Nintendo console
