Today, on this great day, March 14, 2013, the nation Ziotilthania formed agreements of mutual interests with the great cities of Xaranth and North Shore to form a coalition under the name of The Ascendancy. The capital of The Ascendancy will be located in the Ziotilthanian City of Fresnia. This is a truly glorious day for these Nations and Cities. This new government will usher in a new age of global prosperity and equality for all. We will become a truly influential coalition for the betterment of all members of this great server of EcoCityCraft. Though we may start off small, our voices will ring out across the plains, our songs will echo through the mountains, and our cries of victory will be heard in the deepest jungles. We will become a strong, proud people and our beginnings will be told by bards in every tavern for ages to come. We are the people of The Ascendancy, and on this day, we shall begin our rise to greatness.​

The goals of The Ascendancy will be to form a place where members of the nation can provide funding and planning to buildings for the mutual benefit of all the members. The Ascendancy will be ran in a form of government that would be closest to a "Democratic Monarchy". The way it works for decisions for The Ascendancy will be done mostly in a democratic fashion, where all Counts will get one vote, all Dukes have two, and member who holds and office will have three, and the Emperor will have four.

To expand on the goals of The Ascendancy is to gather members together to split up the required funding, manpower, and material cost of large projects. Some examples of this would be making a large farming town, or providing a dojo for the common use of all members, ranked Baron or higher, that help support the building of the project, or joined after its completion. As time goes on, and The Ascendancy expands to have more members, our goals for common projects will become more ambitious and comes with less tax on each individual member in the materials they need to provide in the building of the project.

The job of this office is to be the Head-of-State for the The Ascendancy and holds the final say in all decisions. The emperor has the power to veto a decision made by the rest of the members if the passing decision does have at least eighty percent of all votes. Also, is the only office that has the power to grant entrance into The Ascendancy with a rank higher than Count.​

Crown Prince​

Holds Three Votes​

Can only be appointed by the Emperor​

The Crown Prince is the second-in-charge in The Ascendancy and may make take full control of situations where the Emperor is not available to make, and needs an immediate response. At this current time, while The Ascendancy is still small, will hold the power of anything that would otherwise be an independent office until The Ascendancy grows to support a new council member for the position. Currently, these powers include making sure messages reach all members, recruiting new members to The Ascendancy, which will be ranked Count or lower. The Crown Prince will also act as Speaker in meetings, receiving and tallying votes, accepting votes submitted after meetings, and making sure all members are given time to speak. In addition, all additions to the meeting schedule must first be sent to the Crown Prince, and after he approves it, to send the addition to the Emperor for final approval and addition to the meeting schedule. In the case of an officeholder resigning, the Crown Prince assume all responsibilities, but does not gain the voting power.​

Lead Engineer​

Appointed via a two-thirds votes of all members.​

The Lead Engineer is in-charge of making an economical evaluation of The Ascendancy, and is in-charge of delegating work in the projects. The Lead Engineer is responsible for having an estimate of the amount of money and materials The Ascendancy can realistically gather and spend on a Nation Project. Also, the Lead Engineer is responsible for providing estimates on the cost of any given nation project that is voted on, and in-charge of delegating the members and finances for a project. Please note, all materials and funding must be requested through the Emperor or Crown Prince.​

-- To the members of The Ascendancy --​

On April 16, 2013, The Ascendancy held its first meeting to determine its starting courses of actions, based on the votes of all council members. Now that the forum voting has been collected and counted, which we will work on a more streamlined solution for future votes to increase counting speed. The first topic that was voted on was the Nation Project for The Ascendancy, which was between a muilti-crop farm and a mcmmo dojo, mainly for pvp skills. While the in-game meeting favored the farm, gaining all votes of attending members, the forum votes put some up for the dojo. The farm won with 85%(12/14 votes were submitted, and 12 were abstained: 6 were never submitted, 4 were willing abstained, and 4 were incorrectly submitted and denied) of the votes. As such, that is the selected project that will begin shortly. The second topic was the town for it to be placed in, and most of the council members that attended the meeting choose to vote to have it placed in Fresnia, under the condition a portal was added to the town. The town of Fresnia won with 81%(13/16 votes were submitted, and 10 were abstained: 6 were never submitted, and 6 voted to abstain)) of votes. The portal app for the town has been submitted, and hopefully we can start construction soon. The third and final vote of the first meeting was the election of a member to the new office of "Lead Engineer". SplotchyJester2 is in the lead with 75%( 9/12 votes were submitted, and 15 votes were abstaind: 6 were never submitted, and nine voted to abstain )of votes. As such, I welcome SplotchyJester2 to the council, and you shall remain in the position until you resign, voted out by the members (process not yet added), or removed by myself for failure to comply with duties.​

I would like to personally give a thanks to all the members that voted, whether it was at the meeting, or via the forum voting, as these votes do count, and will shape the progress. This is a critical time for The Ascendancy, and this is where our future is shaped, will we grow and expand to be a major force, or will internal strife erode the foundation? I myself and very pleased with the progress of the first meeting, and still keep high hopes on the expansion and future of The Ascendancy.​

1.) Introduction:​

As this is the first meeting, The Emperor and Crown Prince will be answering questions on how the meetings run, and will provide answers to these questions before the meetings continues.​

2.) Vote On Nation Project:​

The nation project is the main focus of The Ascendancy and where the Lead Engineer where spend most of his time working on. All members will either vote or choose to abstain when we discuss what projects will be chosen. For a project to be chosen, it does not need a majority, just needs to have the largest portion of votes. At the current time, here are the projects that are open to the vote:​

• Pm kyp_dorrun for suggestions to be added​

3.) The Town for the Nation Project:​

Once the Nation Project is chosen, we will need to choose a town to build it in. As generaljoecool is the Emperor, he will always offer at-least one of his towns for a project if no other members choose to nominate their towns to do it. Please note, that if a project is choosen, all members of The Ascendancy that helped on the project, are to be given life-access to it, unless they violate any rules of the building in question, or rules of The Ascendancy / Server.​

4.) Election of the Lead Engineer:​

This office currently has no holder, and in-order to fill it, it has to be elected by the council. This office requires a two-third majority for the member to be elected. If the council fails to reach a decision, the emperor may promote a member to hold the office until the next vote, or have the Crown Prince do all responsibility of the office in question. Make sure to read the full office description in the main post, and below are a list of members that have showed interest in holding this office, and want to be elected.​

5.) Vote on Town Project:​

Town projects are projects that do have value to certain members, but not all the council. Users may request to have ideas for their project here, and get funding for other members, or this may contain buildings that have minor effects to a large portion of council members. Either way, all work on these are completely up to the members in question, and the deals and effort are also handled by the members who are interested, and not via planning of the officeholders. Below are the current Town Projects that would like to be stated at the Meeting.​

Mostly a summery of the above topics, and a time where any statements that do not fit into the main categories are to be brought up here. As a note, The ratios of dukes to counts is higher than anticipated, If any new members that meet the qualifications for duke want to join, make sure to ask me first, or you may be made a count until a spot opens. As for kmax, she posted before I said this, she is guaranteed a spot as a duke if she chooses to join.
