I don't like people who use x-ray, it's clearly cheating. You should report it to an moderator or admin when you're both online and you're sure he's x-raying.

 

It is a ban if you are using it. A perma ban. (unless you are a donator, then its up to andrewkm to decided if you get perma banned or not.) Don't use it. We will find out you are, and ban you.

 

Indeed, but he's just asking people's thoughts on using X-ray in general, as in using it in singleplayer survival or other survival servers etc.

bad bad bad. its cheating and he/she needs to learn a lesson or two about it. you should report them even though they are your friend. and a true mine crafter does not use x-ray. i say your a noob if you have to x-ray in MC.

 

Was more of a warning on the topic about its use on the server. Just kind of a heads up that while we are talking about the use of x-ray. Remember that it is not to be used here.

 

There's no reason to use xray in minecraft other than to just be lazy. Single player or not, if you're going to use xray you might as well just use creative.

 

I agree, it's ultimately lazy and sucks the fun out of the game. Doesn't anyone respect the thrill of the hunt? :}

 

Well, if it truly gets you upset, send a Pm to a GameAdmin+ regarding your friends supposed X-ray. The staff keep everything private, so I doubt he would know if you ratted him out.. Even if he did know, cheaters are frowned upon here - and his opinions would be invalid.

Not entirely sure if by "The Server" you mean E.C.C, but if you do, I suggest speaking with a GameAdmin regarding it.

As for my thoughts on the mod, I hate it. It's competition in the market that shouldn't be there, but it'll always be there, interfering with my sales. As Mard and T_bone said, doesn't matter where you're, it just represents laziness. It's worse however using it on a Multiplayer server, hence you're cheating out others.

 

i completely agree. cheating isnt even the word for it, more like fraudulent. may be fun for a person just starting out playing minecraft and i have to say it can help you learn how ores cluster together, but should never be used to get ahead in a multiplayer server. as a person who has played minecraft for almost a year now i can personaly say that the reason i still play minecraft is simpley because i DONT know if there will be another diamond behind that next stone block XD

 

X-ray is the reason I don't like mining. I have the weirdest mining patterns and I feel like I'll get banned at any time because I get lucky randomly.

 

I don't think xray is a good thing, but if you want to get banned (like me), say you are using xray, even if you are not! insta ban!

 

Minecraft is ABOUT mining. If you're going to cheat by making the world transparent, you might as well not play.

 

You can just ask to get banned on the forums. There is no need to earn yourself a perma ban.

 

X-rayer?

 

I personally don't like X-Ray i think it ruins the whole entire Minecraft experience and make's the game less exciting to play, I don't even think it should be available for donators. It's a tool that makes the game in my opinion less fun for the player using it and everyone else. :(

 

Let's say someone starts mining randomly and by pure coincidence, he's hitting diamond after gold after diamond. Will he get banned because he is suspected of X-ray even though he isn't using X-ray?
