I can validate the fact that I did not have the pick in my inventory, neither was it on the ground. As well tried relogging.
Can you re specify the order of events? So far as I see it, you drop the pickaxe, then time out? Do both of you see the pick on the ground? Or is it only one? What world was this in? And if possible, can you reproduce this? I think I have a suspicion for what happened.
I dropped the pick, then he timed out. I saw him standing there when it fell to the floor, and from my point of view he picked it up although it did not appear in his hand. Since he client-side picked it up, I did /back because I wanted to go back to my work. Apparently then he disconnected. I think it was Rising. Not sure, but my PM chat reset when going to my legacy town. So I guess Rising. Not sure whether we could reproduce this, how should it be possible to trigger a timeout? What is your suspicion?
The suspicion was that it was the mining world and the /butcher got it. At least, that is what I think everyone else was thinking. Any reason you guys weren't using a chest to transfer the item? This is Rule #1, and you broke it.
