Minecraft Username: Ladyvamptress Brief Description: Before getting my new computer I was able to see both of my trails (Portal and spark), now I can only see Spark. When I ask others if they can see my portal trail, they say they can, but I cannot! Instructions: I'm not sure as I'm not sure why this is happening. How many times did you recreate this bug?: Every time I turn my trails on. Result: Can't see my portal trail, but can see my spark trail. Expected Result: Being able to see it. I dunno if it's in my settings somewhere or not, but I've went through my settings with a handful of staff and they dunno what's wrong. This is a new pc and it should have been set to default settings anyways, so I dunno what's wrong, but all my particles are turned on. :/ Funny how everyone but me can see it. Evidence: Here's a pic of my settings, I have tried to set it like other's player's settings who can see my portal trail, but I still can't see it.
My suggestion would be to see if you cannot see it without optifine, I can see mine fine and I only have macromod installed. because optifine screws with visuals and such I would imagine that is the cause and attempting to launch without it to see if you can see it or not would let us know for sure thats the issue or not. Also if that does happen to be an issue I would simply suggest trying another version of optifine, there is a new release for 1.8.4 if that is an option for you.
I'm using the same texture pack, but there has been updates to that pack once 1.8.3 and .4 came out. Will try it without the texture pack and see if that helps. Thanks for thinking of this. I do use optifine and I have for the longest time, but I know that with ever versions of MC, they updates it, so maybe the latest version 1.8.4 is messing with something? I'll give it a try too after I try without the texture pack and try to single out what it is. Thank you for thinking of this, i never think about optifine as causing an issue though it's caused another issue with me before. Will keep everyone posted on how this turns out as soon as the serve is back up. Will first try without any texture packs. If that doesn't help, will try without optifine. ~*EDIT*~ I removed the texture pack and it works again! Thanks Dewsy, it was the texture pack.
