At this time, 1.7.2 is working for single-player (mostly), but the new 1.7.2 content does NOT work in multi-player, AT ALL.
Until that changes, there's nothing that ECC can do. :( ECC is dependent on Mojang developers and other external developers to release updated versions of certain things that ECC uses to function. And another thing is that any server that says they are "1.7" is being deceptive... they are allowing 1.7 clients to connect but they don't actually have any of the new 1.7 content.
If we get a working and stable 1.7 before the Thanksgiving holiday (two weeks from tomorrow), we can really consider ourselves thankful. BUT if that doesn't happen, it will indicate that there are enormous problems.
And if there ARE enormous problems, we'll just have to start crossing our fingers that we don't see Christmas arrive without 1.7. That would be bad. -
In this post about the release https://mojang.com/2013/10/minecraft-1-7-the-update-that-changed-the-world/
the key line for ECC purposes was the following:
Lots and lots of technical work!
- Completely rewrote how the network (multiplayer) works.
