Felon Username: tfg2002114Complaint: Used /j to enter a locked building and steal from a chest.Evidence: Missing items from an otherwise undisturbed, locked building. I have full investigator log screen shots.Additional Information: This is a follow on complaint to the previous, which was summarily dismissed. Am I as a player expected to catch the thief in the process of looting chests, and then request that they wait patiently while I collect time stamped screen shots of them violating my property? or further, request kindly that they schedule their robberies in advance so i can be home? I think not. I Have concrete evidence of the theft, but it is not allowed to be used. therefore it is incumbent upon the server staff to investigate, and resolve this complaint. I will not be brushed aside for lack of evidence that cannot be collected, or is not allowed to be used. I await your response.
As it turns out this user hit quite a bit of the town that day, @Imabankthing has screen shots of him in action.
Sadly I did not screenshot everything this user done in town this day however I was working on my farm next door and noticed a username that was not a member of town with /near. I went into vanish and went to have a look only to find tfg2002114 inside a locked house in town. I followed him some more and took the following screenshots which show him attempting to get through glass at a different house The user was finally convinced to leave the town when suddenly a bucket of lava appeared to set him on fire. I would like to request the user be banned from both Colebex and Colebex_mk2 as I now have two unhappy residents who paid for what they thought to be land in a "Protected town"
Hello @mookiema I have just checked into this and the user doesn't have the feature which gives access to /j so I am slightly confused. Did you witness the user using /j? Or is that a presumption that you reached having seen him inside a locked property? Has the user ever been a member of the town and could have broken blocks to enter houses? What are the co-ords and world of the chest that was looted?
Hi Dewsy. I'm at work now but will supply cords to the chest when I log in. The chest however is a non issue since I derped and left it unlocked. The issue is that the user gained access to a locked structure. The /j was just a presumption, there is no other way to enter the building. Thanks Mookiema
Can't doors be glitched through by spam-right clicking? At least that'S what I heard in multiple cases before. Sorry if this was unnecessary, mods. :/
Was the chest close to the wall he is at? He can glitch through the block and open the chest if he's fast enough for the quick fraction of a second when the block respawns? I see this sometimes happen in sg, could be how he got to if.. I dunno though. Sorry about your stuff being taken. D:
Clause 4 - Theft and Safety Items left in unlocked chests or on the ground are fair game, no matter their location. It is your responsibility to use our LWC lock system to keep your stuff safe and to yourself. If you modify someone else to allow them access to a chest, they are allowed to take any of the contents unless it is part of an agreement or contract. Please use our system with extreme caution. Isnt this fair game??
Yes, opening the chest is but somehow getting into the chest without actually having access into the house may not be, I don't know.
I have looked into the accused user and they do not have the feature which is required to use /j, so I will be dismissing this complaint as they cannot abuse a feature that they don't have. As for how the user accessed the chest, I am not 100% convinced on how it happened. I suspect it is either what @314 or @Raccooy suggested, although I can't test the latter myself due to region bypass (lol). I do imagine however that it is down to mc mechanics rather than any abuse etc. At this time I'm afraid the only advice I can offer is to ensure that your chests are locked, which I know that you have done. I appreciate that this is all very vague/not useful!
