Just a suggestion for those who've been playing on this server for a long time for an opportunity to apply for a title to signify their experience on the server
I disagree with a title as that would mess up our rank system. I however, would agree with it being a forum medal.
I would like to see this as both a tag and a forum medal. For instance, users who have been on the server long enough could have [Vet] added next to their existing tag like so --> [VIP-Vet][$$$$-Vet][$$$-Vet][$$-Vet][$-Vet][Vet]
There's an older suggestion on this - in the end, most seemed to agree on a forum medal by automation or application. In-game, however, it would take up a lot of space... Especially with the nickname and tag donation features.
If the addition of [Vet] to tags were to be treated just like the tags themselves, then I wouldn't foresee this as much of a problem. For instance, when you get the tag donation feature, you overwrite whatever your current tag is. If someone was to have [Vet] listed within their tag, and they bought the feature, they would overwrite that with the rest of their tag.
Just a silly idea: What if you were a REAL veteran and gave proof. You could be awarded a forum medal. lol
I like the idea of a Veteran Forum medal.I can't get one for a long time, but an IRL vet would be kind of cool as well. I know quite a few Vets that play on the server.
Well I agree for forum medal. But not for rank though. And for the time... I guess 1 year sounds reasonable... From the point of date you registered forum account... Not by date for joining server as builder.. You know.. When you just join server as builder, it's not sure when because you don't even have forum account, and date history doesn't leave..
nah, I hate these suggestions when they pop up. While it sounds nice, its unnecessary and misleading. Firstly, names are already long enough with other tags, we don't need more tags lol. Secondly, you could have created a forum account, played for 1 day and then returned 3 years later, calling yourself a veteran of ecc. How can you be a veteran without playing? Sorry Asymons but unless you actually play ecc for a considerable time, how are you a veteran?
The other suggestion on this talked about how long you had to play to be a Vet... I think the average was around 2 years, considering the server is just under 3 years old. Join about a year/year and a half earlier than the current time really isn't that long - at least, nothing much has been seen that really made "ECC history." (This could always be different in the future, though.) I'd say, since there would never be a long enough time to really be a "Veteran" (no one would ever agree, especially the actual long-time players, such as myself), maybe forum medals like such (think of the new MCMMO and SG medals - I don't remember the color order, this is just a concept): Iron SOMEITEM: Been on ECC for more than one year! Gold SOMEITEM: Been on ECC for more than two years! Diamond SOMEITEM: Been on ECC for more than three years!
