I am really looking forward to getting to know the ECCOwner. As the server has grown over the years and most of the players have gotten more professional, so to must the server administration get more professional too. I know a lot of people are saying that the ECCOwner is "Robotic" but I just think that he is being more professional on what is going on in the server. I for one am looking forward to seeing what is going to happen with the server, whether it changes or stays the same.

While I am in the shadows like everyone else, sitting here demanding information will get us no where. Although I dislike not knowing anything just like the rest of you, it's quite childish to whine and moan. We all just need to be patient. A lot of the things going on are most likely temporary. The new owner needs to get acclimated, Andrew did a shittone of work that not many could do while working a full time job. Best we can do is wish him luck and act like a real community instead of a bunch of ravaging fiends.

 

bit of an unfortunate situation for this new owner, imo Andrew should of given us notice saying that the server will be handed to such and such person in 2 weeks or something, and then the owner would have a chance to introduce themselves to the community and answer any questions before taking over, imo that would of solved the mass hate I am seeing at the moment.
Also welcome to the almighty new server owner look forward to the future of Ecc.

 

Besides, as some staff said in shoutbox earlier, this could be a time of change regarding suggestions.

Well, think about it. How many suggestions has andrewkm himself dismissed? All those suggestions, in theory, would be open for reconsideration.

New owners would lead to a different style of running things.

I'm not worried about this new owner(s). I'm not concerned they'll run ECC into the ground. I'm not afraid of the changes they'll make.

The SINGLE problem I have with the new owner(s) is that they won't tell us anything about what's going on/who they are/anything.

I'm perfectly open to accepting a new leader, but when they say nothing about themselves, I already lost respect and trust for them. Regardless of who they are and how good they are at leading ECC, they've already lost my good opinion. Even if it's some GA, they've still failed on decision #1.

All I ask is to know. Nothing more, nothing less, I just want to know. We all want to know.
Yes, they'll probably announce who they are in a few days, but they already have FURTHER to work before the people of ECC will trust them.

While I cannot possibly have a full opinion on them yet, they've already been a disappointment. I cannot, and will not, support them, when I know nothing of them and the way they command ECC.


But in the following weeks, we'll just have to wait and see.

I remember when you were on staff. From your experiences, I can trust your opinion on this matter. Staff reform is an easy task and I think it's the right choice :). Thanks for giving me a point of view that's highly valuable!

 

I was never on staff. Though when I was playing at 2012 I noticed that staff were very friendly currently the staff I dislike cuz of what they are doing now. Its just something that Andrew really did not care to fix. Im hoping that the new owner would look at fixing it

 

There is nothing wrong with the staff team. They have no bias, they care, and they work hard. People who get on staff possess all the qualities needed. Yes, there are many many ex-staff members who have told me the same thing. But you can not say "andrew didn't care to fix" it, and then be happy about it.

That's extremely cruel, and you should get some experience on the staff team before you say things like that.
