I know it is a very subtle difference between the two, which is the quartz half slab on the top corners. That being said, Design 1 (Without Slab), or Design 2 (With Slab)? Design 1: Design 2: Design 3:

Yeah, they all looked weird because you cannot get a corner stair with just one stair. Any other type of stair looks dumb from either the front angle or side, so it is a lose-lose tbh
It would look nicer if you put a stone brick slab where the quartz slab is to match up with the stone brick blocks below. Though, right now, I believe I'm going to say +1 to design two as it does look nice/proper where it is.
