However when you interact with something like a videogame you need around 60 fps because you are controlling it, your brain knows what will happen and will see slight difference in reaction time. You can indeed see 120 fps but that is only when you compare it with 60 fps at the same time. Your brain will see a slight difference in reaction time. You can't sit in front of a computer and tell how many fps it is producing at that moment, you need comparison material for this.

40fps average, if its good, and i got a nice fast computer, what are you guys running? I rarely get lag, except in market place.

i get about 200fps while playing on multiplayer, about 40 in singleplayer. About 70 while recording on multiplayer, and about 30 while recording singleplayer.
which btw im gonna get a better computer soon, not one with 2009 graphic and audio sound cards (outdated cards ftw!) -
