Idk probably. I have an iPod Touch 5th gen and it's clearly better in quality and reliability (minus the actual cell phone capabilities). I don't want to be that guy that only reps Apple products, but it's not even a competition.

 

To me,

Apple products are for people that want and/or need a simple UI. There are countless number of posts on the internet to fix almost any problem that can occur on the iPhone which makes it very appealing. There is nothing wrong with an iPhone.

I lean more towards Android because I enjoy being able to customize and make the phone more towards my preferences. I also enjoy the better screen resolution, picture quality, and expandable storage (adding removable SD cards). On the downside, they are cluttered compared to iPhone and aren't as easy to navigate.


Being able to root (jailbreak for iPhone) your phone is a little easier on an Android system, IMO. However, do this with extreme caution.

Whichever phone you choose, you will be happy. All I would recommend is going with a popular phone (whether it's iPhone or Android). They usually have more accessories and tech support.

I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with a Samsung Gear S. I've had both iPhone and Android, I prefer the Android interface because it is so customizable. Also for everyone that says that the Android gets cluttery, you can make an Android not appear like that, because like myself using Samsung automatically Touchwiz is on the phone. I can change this and use any other app, so I can change the look to look like an iPhone or even a different kind of Android (ex. nexus look). But I guess it's just a matter of opinion. Though there are so many more options to root (android) than Jailbreak (iPhone)

 

Sorry to brag, mine is obviously better than all of the ones listed above.

 

I have the amazing Samsung Kyocera 3G. It's horrible, doesn't have internet, can't play games, has bad reception, and looks like your standard puny flip-phone compared to my friends' iPhones.
(It looks like a bar of Carbon Fiber tho)
