Hey everyone,

Me and chanimeryl are hosting a building competition in the Legacy town Folkestone.

It will cost $2.5k to enter and is open to anyone of any rank.
Rank will not affect the outcome!!

Of course there are rules ;) as we all love rules.

-Please stick to natural blocks IE woods, stone, etc. No redstone, or unnatural looking materials, coloured glass/sand is fine.
-Please don't go too high, I should be able to stand on the ground and see most if not all of the structure.
-No sabotaging other people! If this is suspected to be happening you will be disqualified.

IMPORTANT: Please place a sign on the fence that borders your 10x10 plot. Please stand facing away from your building to place it so that when I come to judge it I won't be able to see the name from outside of the plot.

That's about it for rules, so just have fun with it.

We will be judging on...

- Creativity, so how you've used the blocks for something cool and unique
- Originality of style, how you've made something from your own imagination come to life
- Personality in the structure, how you've put yourself in the structure, IE how the structure represents you as an ECC player.
- And obviously, just how nice the structure is overall

The plot for the build will only be 10x10 so will be a challenge, but that is what the idea is :p

The prize will be one DONATION FEATURE
We will decide depending on the player who wins what the feature is, this will take into account any features they already have, plus how well they did in the competition (as in did they win by a large margin or by a tiny one) and also what one they'd like.

"This competition is run by ECC users chanimeryl and chanidanny and is no way an official ECC competition and does not include or hold any prevalence to any of the ECC owners or staff. The agreed sum to enter is $5000 ecodollars, and shall be paid upon request, once the user has applied on the forums. The competition will be judged blindly and based on work alone, excluding any social class or personal relationships. As an entrant you agree to honour this competition and not let the outcome cloud judgment of any players. PPS: Deadline for applicants is March 1st. The build deadline will be March 8th. And judging will commence March 9th.
Also, the entry fee will only be asked for on the build deadline. So please make sure you have the amount ready to transfer on March 8th. :)))

 

You've been heard. Entrance fee is now 2.5k. Me and chanimeryl will make no profit on this, it is merely to bond the community and create some excitement and competition! We need a minimum of 15 people to enter, so tell your friends and spread the word!!!

 

chanimeryl has teleport and will be able to teleport people to the location. If she is not online and you do want to go there it is on Legacy towns 3, left of the board on the red row, turn right and its like the 2nd or 3rd one. (Folkestone)
Also there is not a limit on what the donation will be, if someone wins by miles it is more likely to be a higher value donation, however if there is a small margin for the winner then the prize will be a lesser valued donation.

Ideally we want to wait til at least 10/15 people want to join in as then it makes it more interesting as any less than that doesn't really constitute a decent competition, if you have any friends who are interested etc please tell them about it.

If you guys would prefer to start now, with the risk that the competition may not go ahead then that is fine, either way just let me know :)
