I see so many people mess up their evidence in complaints, so I decided to make a simple guide to obtaining proper screenshot evidence. To take a screenshot, press F2 (PC) or Fn+F2 (Mac). In general, you'll find the screenshots in your minecraft/screenshots folder. Step 1: Leave chat channels. This makes it easier to capture your evidence. /ch leave g /ch leave tr /ch leave d /ch leave auc /ch leave l **non-donators won't be able to leave all of these channels. Step 2: State the terms of the deal. I [do something]. You [do something]. Agree? Step 3: Your trade partner agrees. Partner: Yes. **If you are giving someone an item, hover over the item and screenshot it at this time. Take two screenshots to show the timestamp in the 2nd one. Step 4: Give your side of the deal. Toss the item(s) or do /pay. Step 5: Open the chat and take a screenshot. Then take another screenshot. The 2nd screenshot will capture a timestamp and is the one you will use for evidence. **If you gave an item, take a screenshot showing that the item is no longer in your inventory. Take two screenshots to show the timestamp in the 2nd one. Here is an example of a proper screenshot with all evidence needed in a single image: 1. Left chat channels 2. Stated deal 3. One other thing I will say: if you can complete a deal using a trade sign, do it. This guide is mostly just for things that cannot be sold with trade signs or for people who cannot create trade signs (Builders).
