Indeed, Outerlocal has been president of the colonies for many years... and perhaps we should ask ourselves why? What has kept Caprica in power for all this time? Fear, Manipulation, Blackmail. These are all things that may come to mind, but what about terrorism? Is this really so far from his capabilities? It is well known that until the bombings of last year, Picon was a strong contender for the title of president. It is well accepted that the original intentions of the attack was to hit the quorum chamber. Had the attack succeeded, it would have conveniently eliminated Outerlocal's prime competition. Is this really a coincidence? You just have to look at the evidence to fill in the blanks to this story. The bomb itself was advanced technology, and one that would have been extremely expensive to construct. Caprica had been passing shipments through Picon for months prior, many of which were advanced technology necessary for the construction of Aerilion. Perhaps one of these crates got 'lost' along the way... You can put forward your stories of selflessness and innocence, but ask yourself, how well do you really know your former president? Outerlocal has been a beloved figurehead of the Zodiac Nation for many years, and the idea that he would intentionally plot against his own people is preposterous. Any evidence against him is weak and circumstantial, and has been intentionally manipulated by members of this nation who would see him destroyed. During his time in office, Outerlocal saw the reconstruction of Aerilion, a colony that was all but destroyed many years ago. But what did he gain from this? Nothing. He put aside his own personal gain for the greater good of the nation. Because of him, my people can once again have our lives back. Does this sound like the actions of an evil man? Of a man who would plot against his own people? If anything, this nation should be paying him and the poor citizens of Caprica, who have had their shining colony destroyed by this barbaric witch-hunt, compensated for the troubles they have endured because of this. There are guilty men among us, but Outerlocal is not one of them... AnnyonionAerilion Quorum DelegateDefense
