[Suggestion] Youtube rank

I think it could work, maybe not a rank but some sort of benefit. I'd say the youtuber should have at least 1,000 to 2,000 subscribers.

 

I think it would work with 1000 subs because if they have that many subs, that would mean they are sort of popular on YouTube.
Maybe one benefit should be a side rank called YouTube!

 

Definitely not a rank. If people are known on YouTube, people will know them. We should not use the rank system to symbolize celebrity status.

• What is video?
• How long?
• How good?
• How many subs?
• Updated only or previous old ones?

If you wanna make a vid just do it... Don't see the need for this.

It'd require a lot of management. My reason for 1000+ subs is because what benefit do we get if a player with 1 sub which is his own alt account creates a video that goes for 30 seconds and says "this is cool server pls join". Will that attract people? Probably not, it'd possibly encourage others to not join.

I think if we're wanting youtube publicity we should focus Quality above Quantity. Possibly you have to apply for a youtuber forum rank (Just like the wiki team) and must hit certain milestones and already have proof of quality videos, if you're accepted then ECC can work with these youtubers to create quality content. We don't want to encourage anyone to get this "free rank" just by uploading any old video of ECC to YouTube.

 

This is an idea I can tolerate. If we keep it a forum rank, separate from the actual ranks, and limit it to the very best, then I don't think it would be much of an issue. Outside of the the now-inactive @moneykiller789 and the now-banned @bostonbradley and @JinxJames, there aren't a lot of YouTubers on our server. Preferably, I'd like to see some sort of "YouTube Team" that can run ECC's YouTube channel.

 

But we are talking about making it a benefit, Suburb. Plus, the thing about the side rank would be cool. But the thing about it is that anyone could lie about it if we have an application for the benefit.

 

But we could just make one of the things that you have to give proof.

Why, why should one be raised because they are on youtube? Why should one be raised just because their video when viral? Why should one be raised because they are good at sg? (from making an sg video.) Why should one be raiser because they are good at building? (form making build videos.) If it tried, I could most likely come up with more reasons why not, I also don't see the bonus for doing this.
