I dunno, someone winding you all up? xD

 

Hub servers do not bother me at all. If you think about it, we will still have everything we had only on different servers, chances are players won't even realise we are on a hub.

 

At the end of the day, no matter what it is. I will still play. I don't really care iif it's a hub server. The only thing I notice hub servers bring is spam and hacking. Easy solution: Ban them. I do not lag on any of the hub servers and I find them fun sometimes.

i will be mad at phys if she makes this a hub sever. honestly its called ECOcitycraft. in case you didnt notice, ECO stands for ECONOMY not HUB server. plus this is what made ecc so special. i have not found one server that is purely economy. also, the whole economy part of the hub would plummet to the ground and die. the thing that makes this server so great is because phys now, and andrew in the past, focused all their energy in the economy (besides bugs and techinical stuff ofc). so if it became a hub phys would have to juggle ALL the servers, making her busier AND not being able to balance the economy. oh and i agree with helix. when did this EVER mean ECC is turning into a hub? exactly. it didnt

This whole conversation is based on purely speculative interpretation of one word ... that hasn't been explained yet ... and people are predicting the doom of the server?

GUYS!: Logical Explanation.....
*ECO*
A.) I have seen servers with 2+ servers just for the sake of expanding and they still have they're original stuff.....
B.) AD stunt like with T-Mobile,Verizon,ETC...
C.) CHANGE OF SCENERY. All I have seen up there for months was that Rising was a new world! NEW CHANGE OF SCENERY PEOPLE!

Conclusion: Either Another Massive Update or another server for expanding OR um... IDK

PLEASE STOP GOING "This is the END!" PLEASE!!!!
P.S: Really would Anyone change this lovely Eco of a server...? REALLY change it?!?!

Definitely This is only after very very minimal building time.

 

Stahhpp freaking out for those of you who are freaking out. First of all, I trust andrew and phys to do whats best for the server. Second of all, I think this is a good idea. Sometimes, melon farming gets boring, ya know? xD This won't kill the economy part of ECC, as there will always be players in there!

 

Edit: Just read through Andrew's post and it seems like a really good idea. Ignore my stupidity before this post edit lol

 

I still keep my stand in the beginning of this. And no, I was not "overreacting" or "adding to the hype" or whatever nonsense you'll are talking about. As you can see, I have predicted correctly that it will become a hub. Whatever you think of a hub as, is whatever you want to see it as. I already have my mind set on what will happen based on experience. Maybe it'll be different, I have no idea!

 

I'm loving that there are going to be multiple more options to make money coming soon. I'm not exactly sure what they'd be but I'm hoping that new minigames is one of these options. I'd also like to see build events in the creative world if we get one.

 

I think people need to be more open minded. We are well aware what makes ECC what it is, and we are not stupid enough to suddenly change to a massive mini game hub server.

For those struggling to comprehend this.. Think ECC with a central lobby acting as a quasi-spawn. When the main world is offline, you can go to creative or vice versa, stand around in spawn etc. Is everything going to be integrated into the economy? Yes. Are we going to become a massive minivans server with no sense of what ECC is? No. Are you going to notice a huge change in what ECC is? No.

Just because we may be using the same network configuration as a stereotypical hub server doesn't mean we are going to become one lol.

I still have to understand why so many people are against a hub...IMHO this can be a great chance for ECC to expand and attract more new players!
