wat about if someone started mining out a 16x16 chunk down to bedrock and then make another one nextto it once they made it to bedrock. just and idea people would find tons of minerals and caves... plus it would be huge and easy to see
Or maybe there's a checkerboard pattern of bedrock at layers 65 and 60 so that no one can dig straight down, they always have to make a turn
