all my villagers vanished

    so i just got on and i go to expand my villager farm so when i was breaking the wall i found out all my villagers vanished so what happened and can i possibly get them back

    and the room was perfectly light and no way for mobs to get in

    mobs will come to attack them from everywheere that might of happen
