    Hello everyone,

    General Information
    In this announcement I will be giving you all simple, yet informative information regarding the upcoming network reset. Please note, this is not the full reset / change log, this is just informing you about what we are doing (this is very vague and may change in the future).

    I would Not be making this post unless we were certain that we're coming close to the reset, AEMNetwork 2.0 (doesn't that just roll off the tongue). We want everyone to get very excited. (#Hype #Hype #Hype) Please let your friends, past and present, know about the reset. We know there have been many players that have left due to lack of updates and staff absence. (We were once 1,000 players strong!) I will let you all know NOW that this is no longer the case. There will be fixes / updates everyday and staff presence will be better than ever. Again, we will be creating a change log upon release for all of you to keep track of the changes / fixes to your beloved AEM.

    News Letter
    During the past few days the team and I have been brainstorming, thinking of ways to get the attention of old players. In doing this we have thought of the idea of a "Network News Letter". The news letter will occur monthly, with all the information of the forums compiled into a short, easy to read letter. Anyone with a forums account will receive this letter, however, there will be the option to unsubscribe from it. We Do Not encourage that, as there will be exclusive content updates, and store coupon codes for the readers.

    Donor Ranks
    Donors ranks will not be nerfed at all. Actually, there're more permissions and better gear for you to enjoy.

    Servers that will be released on the first day, will include...

    We'll be releasing the servers above about every 3 days after the release date, so if you're waiting on your favorite server add play.aemservers.net to your multiplayer list and keep checking back to see if they're released.

    FAQ
    I'm sure many of you have questions, here is a 3 question Q 'n' A... Please do not be shy / afraid to ask your own questions in the reply's to this announcement.

    Q. Dwizofizzle, will I lose my rank?
    A. No young man / lady, you will not, there is however a 35% OFF sale right now at http://shop.aemservers.net that will not be lasting much longer, get those ranks you've always wanted because when the reset comes it's going to be lit, fire. One second, I think my house is already on fire.

    Q. When will the reset be?
    A. Well, the reset is very close, be sure to add it to your multiplayer server list and let all your friends know about the reset. We're hoping that in the next 1 - 2 week we'll be ready for a full scale release. We'll release a more informative announcement when we have a set release date.

    Q. Will everything be changed?
    A. Difficult question, we want to bring you a set of servers that no longer have generic features, doing so will be the result of things changing, this is not a bad thing. I have been lucky enough to work with some of the biggest servers and gain knowledge about server building. You will not be upset, there's new builds, color scheme and more custom features for all of you to enjoy.

    May I add that all the staff and I have put in many hours to create the best experience for the AEM players and there is no sign of slowing down any time soon.

      it would be awesome to have a proper shop to be able to sell stuff for economy and maybe able to buy spawners for a high cost :D

      I wouldn't like the idea of spawners, it would ruin the whole point of skyblock which is difficulty, having spawners can be way too OP especially for donors.

      why would it be OP for donors?? if you balanced economy and make the price of the spawners be extremely high like 100k or something like that then maybe so

      I think this would be cool on survival , considering you can get most hostile mob spawners naturally from dungeons/end portal/nether etc. I think passive mob spawners would be cool as well, but it would remove the need for basically any type of food farm which is what survival is about

      because donors usually have the most money, also if they added pigmen spawners or iron golem spawners then it would ruin gold farms and iron farms, Also it would make the mob drops value drop significantly and would make the grinder challenge pretty easy to repeat and be abused. Also, food is a challenging part in skyblock, that's why food farms exist, it would ruin those and would decrease the value of leather and other types of food significantly. The economy wouldn't be stable at all, since players with spawners would sell stuff for cheap and those without would sell the drops for high amounts of money.

      Donors do not necessarily have the most money. Those with the most dedication have the most money. On survival the highest balance achieved recently was about 1 mil by OreoTwinkies who also has a very high play time . Pretty sure it's about 30+ days. As for spawners on survival I have 100+ mob spawn era in an auto kill drop farm , and there is a point where the hoppers can't deal with the drops , it takes me 5 minutes of afking and even with the best hopper system in the world there is a limit to how much goes through, and it my farm does pretty much make me money when I want to. As for how much I make I only get $16 per stack of wool which is 4 stacks of string. And when you're buying spider spawn era for about 200-350 a pop it takes a while to actually profit. Considering you can vote for $500 a day non donors and donors alike can make a small fortune if they invest their money the right way such as setting up shops. Heck even fortune 3 diamond mining can grab thousands if you're extremely lucky. Animal farming for leather is profitable as well. As long as we don't have passive mob spawners (on survival anyway) it'll be a stable economy and fair for everyone

      On survival will the shop be better this time? I know the sell prices were low to encourage player trade but it would be nice to sell things such as pumpkin/melon , sugarcane , cocoa beans and wheat for more than $1 a stack. It made the whole idea of the shop a bit worthless , especially with the buy prices being sometime up to $10 a block for things like ocean temple blocks

      I'm talking about Skyblock, survival and skyblock are very different, the amount of money you get on skyblock is way less from on survival, Voting gives 50 each and there is no such thing as shops. So that's why I don't agree with the spawners addition. Also yes donators usually have a lot more money than non-donators since they have access to so much more resources than non-donators. Also donators have usually bigger islands which means bigger farms, which generates more drops thus making more money. I also doubt you can fill hoppers up with only 5 minutes of AFK time, well unless you have 1 single hopper and you fill it up with different drops then it might be possible, but anything other than that then i doubt it. idk about survival but the difficulty on skyblock is easy, so the mob spawns are a lot less than on normal/hard.

      that's why adding spawners is so unfair, no matter how much they cost, the whole point of skyblock would just end. Annoying tedious work and then it paying off is what skyblock is really about, building a dark room with water inside it then putting a spawner for zombies to spawn in would just ruin skyblock and would make it really boring. It's about how much you invest in your builds that is fun, not some 10x10 dark room where mobs spawn

      Survival and skyblock are very different. In survival probably the best donor perk is /fly , which just saves time. Never really played sky block so I don't know too much about it. But trust me when your sitting on 100+ hoppers with 5 mobs spawning a second your hoppers fill up FAST. I do agree that sky block should be about time you put into a build though rather than just getting a spawner instead of learning the game mechanics/making really cool mob farms that generate natural mobs.
